The XR market isn’t the future anymore In 2025, the combined AR, VR, MR, XR, and spatial computing market is estimated at $44.5 billion. By 2030, that number is expected to hit $189.3 billion and that’s the conservative estimate. What does this mean? We’re past the “hype” phase. XR is alrrady shifting the market The question isn’t if XR will scale, but how fast. For enterprises, this matters today. Because XR is already transforming how teams train, collaborate, and simulate real-world scenarios. Here’s why adoption is growing fast: > ROI is easier to prove. > Risk reduction is measurable. > Cost savings show up immediately. Think about it: • MedTech teams are training surgeons on complex procedures virtually. • Automotive engineers are rehearsing assembly without hardware. • Security forces are simulating missions with zero real-world risk. These aren’t experiments anymore. They’re market drivers. The takeaway: As the market scales 4x in the next five years, the companies already experimenting with immersive training will be the ones ready to lead the curve. The winners will be the ones preparing their teams today for the scale that’s coming tomorrow. #XR #AR #VR #SpatialComputing #Innovation #FutureOfWork #Training #EnterpriseTech #DigitalTransformation #VirtualReality

We had such an amazing time yesterday at the WI Tech Month Equity in Tech Summit. We heard from so many amazing speakers that include Nadiyah Johnson from Milky Way Tech Hub , Mandela Barnes, Bianca Shaw, Ruben Gaona from My Way Out, DAVID SCURLOCK, Naveen Lalit Kankate from Requisor AI and more. We need equity in tech more than ever right now and today’s summit was a fantastic reminder of that. We can all take something from this summit to help our communities thrive. One of our favorite activities was the VR headset workshop with David and Ruben. It was so amazing to see what they see in the headsets in real time.

Meta's Pivot From VR Losses to Smart Glasses Market Success While the tech world fixated on Apple's $3,500 Vision Pro and flashy metaverse promises, Meta's massive VR failures accidentally created the smart glasses market that's now exploding across the industry. After burning through nearly $70 billion in Reality Labs losses since 2020, Mark Zuckerberg's company discovered something remarkable: the smart glasses market was hiding in plain sight. Consumers don't want to escape reality, they want to augment it affordably, and this insight has transformed the entire smart glasses market landscape. Read More: https://lnkd.in/gFFjdPxT

Looking back, it’s amazing to see the legacy our team has been quietly building. Almost 10 years ago, we released "Box VR – Kinect Support". At that time, there were no hand controllers for the Oculus VR DK1 or DK2 — those were the only reliable VR headsets on the market. Google Cardboard had just appeared, and cheap $20 VR boxes were everywhere. So we asked ourselves: “What if we could plug a Microsoft Kinect into a PC to get full body tracking, including hands, and stream that data into a wireless VR headset rendering the same environment?” That’s exactly what we did. We created a wireless, full-body VR experience years before it became mainstream. It was raw, experimental, and truly magical. These were the kinds of know-hows we kept developing at our lab — pushing boundaries, exploring possibilities, and experimenting with the future before it had a name. The only problem? We were amazing hackers… but not yet great entrepreneurs. 😉 Today, with ARLOOPA, we’re applying those same innovative roots — but this time, we’ve learned how to build sustainably, grow globally, and turn our inventions into a movement.

What we see in VR today? That's just the surface. Everyone's talking about the latest VR headset or cool AR demo, and yeah, they're impressive. But here's what keeps me up at night: we're barely scratching the surface of what this technology can actually do. Look at that iceberg. The tip—virtual meetings, gaming, basic notifications—that's where most people think XR begins and ends. But dive deeper, and you'll find the real game-changers: adaptive AR that adjusts to your prescription in real-time, eye-tracking that personalizes every experience, neurofeedback for mental health, and even continuous health monitoring that could catch issues before they become problems. We're standing at the edge of something massive. XR isn't just about entertainment or productivity hacks—it's about fundamentally reimagining how we interact with information, monitor our health, and experience the world around us. So here's my question for you: Where does VR/XR fit in your world right now? Are you already exploring it, skeptically watching from the sidelines, or focused on a completely different tech frontier? I'd love to hear what industry you're in and whether you see XR intersecting with your work. Let's talk about what's beneath the surface.
