Thoughtful by design: the thinking behind my video design. In the recent video I made about my experience at Learning Technologies #LT25UK, every design choice was made to support clarity and accessibility. Here's a few things I considered: 🎨 Colour I chose white text on a dark background so it’s easier to read. Tip: Use a colour contrast checker 🔤 Font I chose a simple font for readability. Tip: a Sans-serif font has fewer decorative features making it easier to read. ⏩ Motion I kept animations smooth and subtle to support the message, not distract from it or cause distress. 🔇 Captions Accurate captions are essential for accessibility. Considerations: timing, placement, colour, font, sentence structure Design in Learning and Development isn’t about being flashy, it’s about being thoughtful. When we make content more accessible, we make it available for everyone. A link to the featured video is in the comments. What do you consider when designing your videos? Have tips of your own? Let’s share and learn together 🥰 #Accessibility #Video #LearningAndDevelopment
Love it Jayne 👍 And one of my FAV tools for colour accessibility contrast checker is this one - it tells you in a very NO NONSENSE way if it's a YUP or a NOPE... https://www.aremycolorsaccessible.com/
