Is this a missed financial opportunity, or a priceless souvenir? Recently, I have been going through boxes of old papers and documents from when I was a kid. Among all the stuff? An unmailed Milli Vanilli rebate form. If you don't recall - or don't know - the award winning duo was a lipsyncing front for other mostly German studio-produced singers who actually made the music. At the time, this was a huge scandal. Once the scam was uncovered, rebates were offered to those who bought their albums. Like many people, I bought the album. But I never mailed in the rebate. It was a lost few dollars - But the envelope made me laugh pretty hard when I found it in with old papers, yearbooks, and letters. So, what do you think??? Wasted money Or priceless memory?
I remember the scandal well. I never heard of the rebate thing before. That is very funny 😁
No no! Keep it. Makes for a great story and possibly a speaking prop if you find the right analogy
Priceless memory, hands down. I found my old AOL trial CDs recently and got the same rush. These artifacts remind us we were there, making real choices, even if we didn't know the full story yet.
They said ‘don’t forget my number’ and you still did 😂 This is hilarious!

1wPriceless memory. I wonder if you can get more for the envelope (say, via eBay) than you would've gotten in the rebate (inflation adjusted, of course).
