This is a long video clip from an incredible interview with Josh Levy that was scheduled to be about the Document Crunch acquisition by Trimble Inc., but it turned into a walk down memory lane. The ConTechCrew allows me to be a journalist in the industry, but I got caught up in this story! Tune in we got back to the #future of #ZeroDisputes!

Tim Speno thanks for bringing us together at The Association of Union Constructors and sparking this relationship!
Here we've had you on a few times. People know a little bit about that, but I don't know that they know the connection. So I'm gonna start this off. How did I meet Josh Levy? And it was at the Association of Union Contractors in Saint Louis is where the event was. Josh, you'd have to give me the year. It's the post COVID. I know exactly what it is because. As of today, I'm exactly 5 years full time as the CEO. Document crunch. So if I were a betting man, it was June. Of 2021. And I felt and I could probably find pictures somewhere. It was in Saint Louis. June of 21 would have been the year. Yeah. And we were in Saint Louis, and we were both working out in the gym. And you said, hey, can I chat with you? And we went for a walk. And you told me your story and the crunch beginnings. You guys were like 3 to 6 people at that point, weren't you? Yeah. I was employee three at that time. Employee 3. And. Man, it has been a fantastic journey to watch and be this close, to consider you a friend, but also to consider you someone I got to learn from, a company I got to watch and grow. So go back to that day yourself and just talk a little bit about that early vision those, I mean, because immediately when I talked to you, I was drawn to like, oh, there's something here. So give people that brief, like, what was that like in the beginning? You know, man, I, I don't know if this is good or not, but you actually got me a little choked up right now. I remember, gosh, man, I wasn't expecting you to do this to me, but the decision to take the leap. And go full time into this like what I knew was, you know, a big opportunity at that time. You know, I'll just share with you my wife Mika. She was the one who pushed me to do it. You know this I was a corporate lawyer had a good cushy thing. I was scared man. And you know, if I'm being totally honest with you in June of 21 is bullish as I was on document crunch and like this idea that would be the best way I could describe at the time this idea that we had that you at that moment in time, Jeff actually, I know I was still wondering whether I had made. The right decision I can say listening to you, I knew you were still wrestling with had you really made the right decision? There was all the signs and all the. Like you believed in it, but I think that's actually what drew me to your story and to continue to talk to you and say like this is somebody I'm going to stay close to because there wasn't that bravado of like I'm going, there was none of that bravado. It was very like, I'm taking a leap in my life. I believe this is a problem. I know it's a problem, right? But I think I'm going to be able to improve it. The problem space, the vision. I had a lot of conviction in that. I wouldn't have made the leap if I didn't, but at that moment. The time when I saw you at the gym and I knew who you were because, you know, I was new to the construction tech scene. First time founder, you know. The real reason why I was probably seeking out to get some time with you at that point in time was to maybe anchor to somebody who had a broader perspective than I did, who, you know, man, I came from the legal world. We're trained to think about the worst case scenario. And at that moment in time, ma'am, there's just no doubt. I mean, I remember it, but there was just no doubt that I was still like, huh, I believe in what I'm doing, but this is crazy. And I don't know that I have what it takes to be a tech guy, CEO, a founder, you name it. And I sought you out at that moment because I was looking for folks. Did that had seen. The full journey, I had not. I literally had not except maybe, you know, watching, like, Silicon Valley or, you know, reading grandiose stories of what happens in the news with, you know, Meta or whatever. But I had no experience. And I'm just getting choked up because you probably grounded me and locked me in a little bit more at that moment in time. And like, if you told me four years and 11 months ago that we'd be sitting here on the other side of what this journey has meant. To me, to 100 crunchers, to 500 customers and I'd like to thank for our industry. If you told me that we'd be here four years and 11 months later, I could not. Intellectually say that I would have agreed with you. I could say that would be a dream.
Trimble and Document Crunch are working toward the same goal: a construction industry with fewer disputes, made possible by AI that reads contracts and surfaces the risks teams need to stay ahead of.
On The ConTechCrew, Josh Levy points to safety as the precedent. Jobsite injuries were once written off as part of the job. They are not anymore. Disputes, he believes, can go the same way.

Thrilled to see this collaboration. I could not think of a better team and product to be joining the Trimble ecosystem!
Trimble Construction and Document Crunch are working toward the exact same goal: a construction industry with fewer disputes, powered by AI that reads contracts and surfaces the risks teams need to stay ahead of.
On a recent episode of The ConTechCrew, Josh Levy pointed to safety as the ultimate precedent. Jobsite injuries were once written off as just "part of the job"—but the industry changed, and they aren’t tolerated anymore. Disputes, he believes, can and should go the same way.
Together, we are fundamentally changing how construction risk is managed. 🚀

Mapping above and below the Las Vegas strip.
Trimble mobile mapping systems capture millions of points per second to create a detailed model of the Las Vegas strip, while ground penetrating radar (GPR) is used to simultaneously map utilities beneath.
We team up with Monsen Engineering, Trinity Land Surveying Inc. and Kontur for this demo.
Groundforce is relaunching its Single Slide Rail, Double Slide Rail and Pile Chamber systems in response to growing demand across the UK for faster excavation support solutions.

In emergency services, the user interface is just as critical as the mechanical hardware. Rosenbauer is leading the industry by simplifying the longtime complexity of aerial load charts.
By streamlining how critical data is presented to the operator, Rosenbauer reduces cognitive load during high-stress rescue scenarios. This commitment to intuitive design ensures that departments across Colorado and Wyoming can operate with maximum safety and efficiency.
Key Benefits:
Instant Situational Awareness: Faster decision-making on the pedestal.
Reduced Operator Error: Simplified visuals eliminate legacy chart confusion.
Mission Focus: More time spent on the rescue, less time on the calculation.
Discover why IKON Fire is proud to partner with a manufacturer that prioritizes the operator's experience.

Texas heavy civil is shifting fast, and the contractors who win aren’t the ones guessing — they’re the ones reading the field.
I’ve been building out regional intelligence packages that turn raw TxDOT data into clear, actionable insight: market maps, CSJ fingerprints, competitor activity, and automation workflows.
Clarity beats chaos every time.
It's not just about #innovation – it's about applying technology-driven mindsets and approaches to bring movement to problems that have been stuck for decades. The place for that?
The Civil Resilience Technology Meetup Series of the European Civil Resilience Network (EUCIV), starting at 6 PM in the inspiring rooms of our partner Noerr, overlooking the rooftops of Berlin!
We are pleased to announce a keynote by Ferdinand Gehringer (FTI Consulting, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung): “Shared Security: How Innovation Networks Strengthen National Resilience.”
Are you looking for input, funding, partners, or testing opportunities for your project, product, or startup? Or perhaps you have a question to discuss with an audience of experts in the field? The open-mic session will be the place to pitch.
No slides, no videos—full focus on the people, the unsolved problems, and the solutions to boost innovation and technological progress in the fields of Civil Protection, Critical Infrastructure, and Crisis Management.
Civil resilience technology doesn’t get enough attention… until things break. That’s exactly what this evening will be about 🦾
We're excited to co-host our next meetup with Noerr, bringing together founders, engineers, investors, policymakers, civil protection experts, infrastructure operators, and defense builders
No panels. No fluff. Just spotlight talks and real conversations on what’s being built right now:
→ emergency comms
→ autonomous response systems
→ monitoring tools that actually see what’s coming
