China just showcased a flying humanoid robot installing AC units on skyscrapers. And honestly, this is the kind of thing that makes the future feel very close. The robot combines: → quadcopter-style flight → robotic arms → real-time human controls → precision movement while suspended in the air It was also shown assisting in firefighting scenarios and other high-risk environments. A lot of people online assumed it was fully autonomous AI. It’s not. A human operator is still controlling the robot remotely in real time. But that does not make this less important. Because the real goal right now is not replacing humans completely. It’s removing humans from the most dangerous jobs: high-rise maintenance, fire zones, hazardous industrial work, and unstable environments where one mistake can become fatal. That’s the shift happening in robotics. We are moving beyond factory robots locked inside controlled spaces. Machines are starting to enter the real world: flying, lifting, navigating, and interacting with physical infrastructure. And China is moving very aggressively in this direction through robotics, AI, and industrial automation investments. A flying robot repairing skyscrapers sounded like science fiction not long ago. Now it’s becoming engineering. Follow INNOVATIONS to discover tech that matters and ideas that lead. Just another toy with some great safety issues, can't wait to sue one of those companies for neglect!
Why not just sell the rotor-backpack? (with additional head clearance)
Shame it's only CGI, great idea though 😉
