The three men were represented by attorneys at the Innocence Project, the Exoneration Project, The Pennsylvania Innocence Project (PaIP), and DLA Piper. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eQUUNcff
I love the grace extended here - "newly discovered forensic evidence...." I find myself with such mixed emotions with every wrongful conviction exposed, but the piece I struggle with - EVERY TIME - is the complete lack of remorse and accountability for those who failed everyone. The tunnel vision, the need to force an answer to "manage" their case, preserve their egos, reinforce a false sense of security and abilities in the community - how sad and unacceptable. The fact that a simple "we screwed up, we can't apologize enough, nothing will make this right or restore this person...." immediate statement rarely occurs is a large part of the erosion of trust in law enforcement and the judicial system. One wrongful conviction is one too many. Bless you for your work!
Proud to work with you on this!
Now, show them the $$$
Magnificent
Good news! I hope they are richly compensated for the injustice done to them.
