When it comes to multimeters, UEi's Everyday Professional Clamp meter (EPC) can pretty much do it all. It's a true RMS meter, meaning it's great even for tricky inverter systems with non-sinusoidal waveforms. It even comes with K-type thermocouples for temperature measurements, so it's very handy. Huge thanks to Bryan Orr and HVAC School for the excellent video highlighting our UEi EPC Clamp Meter. We’re honored to be part of the tools trusted by techs who lead with knowledge and integrity. Thank you for the support, Brian!
From humble beginnings… Used these meters when I retooled and re-schooled, got out into the field. And since, I’ve had the honor of representing this family for the last 30 years. Seen many innovations in electrical testers and instruments in general. Many of the innovations we take for granted in our current day electrical testers started with UEI. Capacitance, built-in temperature probe, dual screen, magnets on the instruments, built in clamp LED work lights. There weren’t many talking about inRush current 30+ years ago though it was important and Locked rotor start up amps were logged on every ticket. We called it peak hold then and now more accurately refer to as inRush current. HVAC R technician should consider this as a standard feature on their clamp meters. Best part, family owned and operated for 70+ years. It’s a great story. And I like telling it ;-)
