At some point in the foreseeable future, quantum computers will be capable of breaking the encryption standards underpinning our digital world. While there’s debate around exactly when this will happen, the time to build defences is now, says Philip Intallura Ph.D, our Group Head of Quantum Technologies. https://grp.hsbc/6042Fkdui #HSBC #Quantum
Interesting
I happened to post that question a month ago. Looks like this could destroy any crypto value.
Estoy de acuerdo
@HSBC HSBC faced a $1.9B fine in 2012 for weak anti-money laundering controls, allowing drug cartels to move funds. Thanks Grok
No quantum computer will help people dying in famines.
I just had my most ridiculous KYC experience with this shitty bank. They want me to verify 1) my own acc transaction btw two account of mine 2) a transaction to a law firm and 3) to my blood related auntie because she bears an WHITE last name. Wtf!?
Finally, a grounded take. There’s so much hype around AI lately, but quantum poses a far more fundamental shift in how secure systems need to be built. Glad to see HSBC focusing on the real long-term risks.
