I was raised in a community that emphasized integrity and sticking to your principles when the stakes are high. I joined Anthropic because I wanted to ensure this critical moment in AI goes well for humanity. Today the Secretary of War designated us a "supply chain risk” because we won't allow use of our products for mass surveillance and autonomous weapons. No American company has ever received that designation before.
