If you’re not using Claude Code, CoWork, Codex etc yet, but you still want to try out creating your own personal/private podcast and daily brief about anything - including your own private documents - on Spotify, you can now do so with our Studio Desktop app (a Spotify labs feature) - no extra agents or subscription needed. Try it out and see what you think! I find it quite useful. I tend to leave it running constantly on my desktop computer and message it right from within the Spotify mobile app if I have feedback on the brief it made today, want it to include or exclude any topic for tomorrow, or just want it to create a one-off deep dive on any specific topic for me. You can find it in the top right corner of the Spotify desktop app in the markets where we are testing it. It’s early days, so far from perfect yet, but let us know what you think if you try it?
We’re introducing Studio by Spotify Labs, a new app that can create personalized podcasts, playlists, and daily audio briefings from a simple prompt. From commute updates to road trip playlists, it’s designed to make listening feel even more personal.
Genuinely curious about the sourcing here: if the Daily Brief summarizes podcast episodes from Spotify creators, isn't this structurally Spotify's version of Google's AI Overviews? Same dynamic: platform captures the attention, creators upstream get summarized away. Publishers have been fighting Google on exactly this. How does it not play out the same way for podcasters whose discovery already runs through Spotify?
Fascinating update, Gustav Söderström. Streamlining a private, document-backed daily brief right within the Spotify ecosystem is a massive workflow win for busy professionals. As an advisor managing exclusive, off-market real estate and hospitality assets in the UAE, I could see this being incredibly useful for parsing complex property portfolios and market briefs on the go. Excited to test Studio Desktop out. Let's connect!
Next you could basically create music history courses, text-listen-learn-text next. Like radio show where host is super smart and actually teaches you, shares interesting fact tidbits etc.
Wow this is another alternative to Suno so suno needs to up its game by providing direct monetisation pathways
What sources can we add? Like if I wanna synthesize all the podcasts episode from a specific podcast host for the past week. Can it do that?
What an incredible addition! I love seeing products evolve in ways that consider the full user experience, not just the moments spent inside the app. That's where some of the most meaningful value is created. Can't wait to try it.
I currently have some of my music on Spotify.
You should try thedailyscout.com!

The next wave of podcasts may not just be celebrity shows or studio-produced content. It may be personalized, private, AI-generated audio experiences built around what each person actually cares about: their documents, interests, calendar, work, research and daily routines. That changes the definition of a podcast. It becomes less about “one show for millions of listeners” and more about one personalized brief for one listener. For Spotify, this could be very powerful because it combines audio, AI, personalization and habit formation inside an existing listening ecosystem. The winners in audio will not only be the platforms with the most content — they will be the platforms that make audio feel useful, personal and indispensable every day. Very early, but a big idea. Personal AI audio could become one of the most important new formats in the Spotify ecosystem.
