Technology alone doesn’t solve geopolitical challenges, but applied responsibly, in the right partnerships, it can help societies stay capable, competitive, and resilient. Airbus India recently hosted the inaugural AI Sangam—an incredible confluence of cross-industry intelligence! Because AI thrives on diverse perspectives and shared learnings, this platform was organized to connect deeply with our industry partners. Our goal was to understand exactly how Artificial Intelligence is being applied across different domains, the unique challenges various sectors face, and where the technology is headed next. To explore this, we brought together AI leaders from Healthcare, Retail, Automotive, and Energy. I had the privilege of facilitating the event, alongside Veena Venugopal, who did a great job moderating the panel. Knowledge sharing is more than just a "nice to have". It’s a critical safeguard for innovation. Too often, we get so engrossed in our daily deliverables that we fail to look up and see how the outside world is moving. This insular focus is where blind spots happen. As I often tell my team and myself, knowing what the outside world is doing is the best way to adopt best practices and, more importantly, "avoid the mistakes" that others have already navigated. Core Challenge: How do we reframe compliance as an enabler that accelerates progress? From a healthcare perspective, reframing compliance as enablers means embedding federated governance—central guardrails for data privacy and bias audits, while empowering teams for rapid, safe experimentation. The common themes that emerged in our discussions : AI success hinges on operating models, not just models—clear ownership and failure-cost accounting are non-negotiable.
