The longer everyone waits for Putin to come to talks about peace deals and for him to honour everything, the longer nothing like that will happen. Too many expectations never acheived and precious time lost.
Ben Hodges is absolutely correct about Russia. For far too long, the United States provided defensive support, fearful that if Ukraine was given deep strike capability it would cause an escalation that would put NATO in harm’s way. Thankfully, Hodges has been resolute in greater weapon support for Ukraine. The last few months are evidence that the escalation fear was overblown. Russia only respects and responds to hard power.
