We don’t have a testing problem in automotive. We have a blindness problem. Systems fail in the field not because they weren’t tested… but because nobody actually saw what was happening inside them. Reproduction is becoming impossible. Complexity is exploding. And still we rely on legacy-era validation logic. Even worse, validation still heavily depends on test fleets and increasingly relies on real-world driving to surface issues.
