Apple’s macOS 26 Tahoe introduces new image formats that matter for forensics: Apple Sparse Image Format (ASIF)and the updated Sparse Bundle Image (UDSB). These containers can be formatted to any file system and cannot be examined natively outside of macOS.
Interesting update — ASIF and UDSB will definitely push forensic tools to evolve. The lack of native support outside macOS is going to be a real challenge

🔒 Apple releases a short film highlighting macOS security.
Apple has debuted “The Underdogs: BSOD”, a short that blends humor with a clear technical message: the stability and security of Macs compared to the issues that many Windows environments still face.
The film clearly references the July 19, 2024 incident, when a faulty update in #CrowdStrike Falcon —a solution operating at the kernel level— took more than 8.5 million devices offline worldwide.
In contrast, Apple emphasizes technologies like the #Endpoint#Security#API, which lets developers build advanced security solutions without touching the #kernel, reducing the risk of catastrophic failures.
👉 The takeaway is clear: architecture matters, especially when it comes to security and reliability in enterprise environments.

The Most Underrated Feature in Tech Right Now
Not faster chips.
Not thinner bezels.
Not “AI inside.”
It’s continuity.
Pick up a call on your laptop, answer on your phone.
Copy on iPad, paste on Mac.
AirDrop instead of emailing yourself files like it’s 2007.
It’s magic. Once you get used to this glue, everything else feels broken.
Continuity is what makes switching to Android or Windows so painful. 🍎
