One of the few things I truly dislike in business is dishonesty. In leadership, trust is everything. Without it, culture erodes, teams disengage, and performance suffers. There’s a simple way to uncover the truth when something doesn’t feel right ask two questions: 1️⃣ “Can you walk me through exactly what happened?” 2️⃣ “Is there anything you’d like to clarify or correct before we move forward?” Clear, direct questions create space for accountability. Strong leaders don’t assume they verify. Transparency isn’t optional in high performing teams. It’s the standard.
Remember “the truth is a short answer” Wise words my dad use to say as we were growing up.
during interviews, the interviewer would usually say “we will call you”.
