How to Secure Azure Databricks without Public Exposure using WAF + Private Endpoints. While first thing that comes up to mind is that lets configure IP Access List with keeping Azure Databricks in Hybrid Connectivity. This approach is technically doable, but not the best approach for organizations which follows Zero Trust Architecture Framework. This is where organizations has to design a solution which follows CAF Principles and is fully secured with Azure Application Gateway with Web Application Firewall (WAF) combined with Private Endpoints (Azure Private Link) becomes critical to enforce Zero Trust Architecture. In this blog, I’ll walk through: Why Zero Trust is essential for Databricks Traffic Flow For Securing Databricks Architecture Components Key Considerations Conclusion Why Zero Trust for Azure Databricks? Azure Databricks is a SaaS-managed service—but in many enterprise environments, data sensitivity demands full... #techcommunity #azure #microsoft https://lnkd.in/e9RVBHVq

If your BigQuery reservations are live but savings still do not match the spreadsheet, you are not alone — most setups drift into 30–40% waste from a handful of repeatable mistakes. 💸 Pricing model mismatch, edition limits you only discover mid-build, baseline sized for peak, max slots that let autoscale churn in 60-second windows, and committing before usage is steady enough to justify a floor. We consolidated the fix into one guide: when on-demand beats capacity, what Standard vs Enterprise vs Enterprise Plus actually gates, how baseline and autoscaler interact, slot vs spend-based commitments, and a 7-step setup checklist plus SQL helpers to size reservations from your own `INFORMATION_SCHEMA`. Where does my data live? - If the platform stores your engineering data on its own servers, you have a dependency. - Look for client-controlled data residency. Your files stay in your cloud or on-premises environment, and the platform accesses them only when processing is required. Can I replace individual components? - A monolithic platform means upgrading one module often requires upgrading everything on the vendor’s timeline and roadmap. - A microservices architecture lets you swap, update, or add components independently. What format goes in and comes out? - Proprietary formats create switching costs. - Open APIs and standardized protocols (like the OEDP we’re developing) keep your data portable, not captive. These aren’t theoretical concerns. We hear them directly from the industry. The answers should be verifiable, not aspirational. Would you add a fourth question? Curious to know what your team prioritizes most. #DigitalPlatform #DataPortability #OffshoreEngineering #EngineeringGovernance #DeepSeedSolutions
