📑 Not sure what an EU GPSR Authorised Representative is? The EU General Product Safety Regulation replaced the EU General Product Safety Directive (GPSD) back in December. If you're selling into the EU, the product is applicable to the EU GSPR and you're based outside of the EU you need an EU AR.

📣 Today at the #CECETechnicalCommission meeting in Brussels, we had the pleasure of welcoming Felicia Stoica, Head of Unit at the European Commission’s DG GROW. She presented the ongoing revision of the New Legislative Framework #NLF – a cornerstone of EU product legislation that underpins trust, #safety and #compliance across industries. For the #construction #equipment sector, this work is highly relevant: ✔️ It reinforces the #SingleMarket principles, ensuring consistent rules across Member States. ✔️ It strengthens market #surveillance and #compliance mechanisms – key for fair competition. ✔️ It provides the legal backbone for product safety, CE marking and conformity assessment, all essential to ensure construction #machinery remains safe, innovative and globally competitive. 👏 CECE members welcomed the exchange and look forward to contributing to this important legislative process shaping the future framework for Europe’s industrial ecosystem.

BIS stake holders conclave attended today .The program focused on the following key objectives: Industrial Safety – Recent setbacks were discussed, highlighting the critical importance of maintaining safety standards, even in outsourced operations or on-premises activities. The Labour Commissioner emphasized this aspect. Quality – Emphasis was placed on sustainability and standard digitalization practices to strengthen quality frameworks. Training Requirements – The need and scope for diverse training programs, including those in the aerospace sector, were outlined. BIS Portal & Networking – The BIS portal was showcased, followed by brief networking interactions.
