Asante, Ed.D and me goes deeper Into the internal work that shapes every interaction, every decision, every moment of tension If teacher/ staff trust and commitment feel inconsistent there is something beneath that. And we talked about it Tune in April 22 Save it. Share it. A significant concern is seeing young managers and leaders struggling, often held back by negative perceptions of their own bosses. As an older leader, bridging generational divides in understanding can be challenging. The key insight? Every leader, regardless of age or experience, is on a continuous journey of self-improvement. No one has all the answers figured out. Recognizing this shared humanity can foster better connection and collaboration. #LeadershipDevelopment #ManagementSkills #TeamBuilding #GenerationalWorkforce #ProfessionalGrowth

One of the most uncomfortable realizations in leadership is this: When the same tension keeps resurfacing, it’s often not random. Different team members. Different projects. Different environments. But the underlying pattern feels familiar. In my experience, repeated frustration is rarely just about circumstance. It’s often a signal. A lesson we’ve partially learned ... or avoided. Leadership maturity requires pattern recognition. Instead of asking, “Why does this keep happening to me?” the more developmental question might be: “What is this trying to teach me?” The decision to confront a recurring issue ... whether it’s a communication gap, a delegation blind spot, or a conflict pattern ... can change the trajectory of your leadership. We always have a choice. Learn the lesson now. Or meet it again later, usually at a higher cost. #LeadershipDevelopment #SelfAwareness #ExecutiveGrowth #ProfessionalLeadership

30 years on the job. A lifetime of lessons. Lineworker instructor Mark Bayless knows that success in the field isn’t just about skill—it’s about trust, communication, and teamwork. From coaching his own kids on the field to mentoring the next generation on the line, Mark brings the same philosophy to everything he does: prepare people, support them, and set them up to succeed. “They are making sure that they give these young men everything they need to be successful.” That’s what great crews—and great leaders—are built on. #TSTC #Lineworkers #SkilledTrades #WorkforceDevelopment #Leadership #Teamwork

The Grounded Leader Workbook isn’t meant to be read. It’s meant to be experienced. This is where the work becomes real—where reflection turns into awareness, and awareness turns into intentional change. Each section is designed to slow you down, challenge your thinking, and help you look inward with honesty and courage. Because grounded leadership doesn’t happen by chance—it happens through practice. Through the GRACE framework—Gratitude, Reflection, Awareness, Choice, and Encouragement—you’re not just learning what it means to lead… you’re actively becoming the leader you’re meant to be. This isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about being willing to ask the right questions. And doing the work that follows. #GroundedLeadershipMethod #GRACEFramework #LeadershipDevelopment

We continue ENYYSA’s “What Would Your Players Say?” — a reflection series with Director of Coaching Tim Bradbury. How do your players feel when they make mistakes? Mistakes are not just part of the game. They are part of the learning process. The question for coaches is whether the environment they create allows players to respond to mistakes with confidence, resilience, and growth. The way a coach reacts in those moments can shape far more than performance. It can influence risk-taking, decision-making, and a player’s willingness to keep learning. That is a valuable reflection for any coach, educator, or leader working to build better environments for development. The best decision I ever made as a CEO was learning to slow down before speeding up. Early on, I thought leadership meant having all the answers quickly. I'd rush decisions, push momentum, and call it decisiveness. What I was actually doing was missing the full picture. The shift came when I started genuinely listening… to my team, to the people we support, to the data we were generating. Pausing to understand a problem properly doesn't slow progress. It prevents the kind of costly mistakes that do. Leadership isn't about moving fast. It's about moving with clarity. What's the most important leadership lesson you've had to unlearn? #leadership #ceolife #mentalhealthsupport #mentalhealthmatters #bridgesupport
