This raises a profound question: What happens to the AI race when digital ambition collides with physical reality? If the engineers building the power plants remain skeptical, how will that impact the speed and trajectory of AI development? It's a fascinating thought—the most futuristic race in the world potentially held back by human skepticism and the physics of 300-ton steel turbines. Most disaster recovery strategies still assume failure is inevitable. Modern AI doesn’t. AI agents now monitor operations continuously, detecting early signals of degradation, risk, or disruption and intervening before impact. From utilities and oil and gas to healthcare and technology, predictive prevention is becoming the new standard. We break this down in the latest AAutomation Nation. https://buff.ly/iFH2CuY #AIAtScale #PredictiveMaintenance #DigitalOperations #AutomationNation

AI feels invisible because the costs don’t show up on a receipt. They show up in higher electricity bills, stressed infrastructure, and weaker public systems. This video breaks down the hidden price of “free” AI—and why that matters more than most people realize. #ArtificialIntelligence #AIInfrastructure #TechEconomy #FutureOfWork #HiddenCosts #AIImpact #PublicInfrastructure #TechPolicy

Privileged to listen to Del Costy of Siemens present at a private event today. Really impressed with the extension of digital twin with engineering AI capabilities. Key insights that have me thinking beyond the meeting: 1) Del shared a story of a time where institutional arrogance kept them from endorsing and pursuing market opportunities. Seek accurate self assessment and validate whether your thinking is restricted. 2) In the AI age, stop measuring deployment or adoption metrics. They don't matter. They are at best proxies to what does matter - business result deltas. Measure those.

Attended two seminars this week. Both were very insightful! 20th January, 2026 - 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗳𝗟 Tony Dichev highlighted how predictive modelling can reduce disruption, optimise traffic management operations, and improve resilience across the network. SITS Predictive Solution is designed to forecast the state of the road network up to 60 minutes ahead. 21st January, 2026 - 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Dr. Neda Naghshbandi shed light on how these AI technologies are reshaping rail and broader mobility operations. The session reinforced how agentic AI can transform transportation into a more resilient, efficient, and passenger-focused system. #CIHT

As AI models become more advanced, the demand on the infrastructure that powers them continues to grow. Power is a defining factor in the future of AI. Using on-site resources allows for a consistent, controllable energy supply and helps reduce overall operational intensity as infrastructure scales. We focus on integrated power and data centre solutions that balance performance with responsible energy use. We’re building infrastructure designed to support the next generation of AI, reliably and responsibly. #DigitalInfrastructure #AIInfrastructure #EnergySystems #SovereignDigital

AI Cartel Era: Why Leaders Must Own the Exit Ramps AI is no longer a tool category. It is becoming infrastructure. History shows what happens when a small number of players control the layers beneath everyone else: rail, electricity, oil, telecommunications. Power consolidates around the stack and the seams. AI is following the same industrial pattern. For public sector and regulated enterprises, the risk is not adoption. It is dependency. Once data movement, integration points, and governance layers are owned externally, flexibility erodes and leverage shifts. This is why sovereignty, interoperability, and architectural control matter more than model choice or feature velocity. The AI Cartel Era is not emerging. It is already here. #PhysicalAI is accelerating fast — moving from controlled labs into real environments where decisions have physical consequences. As embodied systems begin operating on foundation models, high‑fidelity simulation, and edge compute, AI is shifting from something that analyzes to something that acts in the physical world❗ This raises immediate questions about safety, governance, and deployment standards. The latest generation of #robots, including Boston Dynamics’ new Atlas, powered by Large Behavior Models #LBM shows how quickly embodied intelligence is scaling in capability and autonomy. A recent deep dive into Physical AI makes one thing clear: our regulatory, operational, and safety frameworks must evolve as rapidly as the technology itself. (link in the comment)
