In the age of artificial intelligence, I'm trying to stay ahead with graphics design in a way human creativity cannot be replicated. Is that ever possible? I guess we will find out. #ai
Staying Ahead of AI in Graphics Design

DLSS 5 drops March 16th. The comparison images show sharper detail, better lighting, stable motion on the AI-enhanced side. Half the internet calls it fake anyway. Not because the output is bad. Because it uses AI. Digital photography faced the same resistance against film. Professionals called it less authentic. The superior technology lost to the familiar process. Synthetic media triggers identical reactions. Higher quality gets dismissed as artificial. The method matters more than the result. Video compression algorithms now generate missing pixels. Nobody objects. Frame interpolation does the same thing. Different name, different reception. DLSS 5 uses neural rendering for photorealistic lighting and materials in real time. It processes motion vectors and frame data. It outputs 4K with temporal stability. The technology works. The resistance is cultural. Pay attention to what people reject when the output is objectively better. It reveals adoption curves more than technical specs do.

This is an interesting approach to the multi-angle ai image-generation. Rotating and specifying the camera angle before the generation begins... now thats creative!
This tool is insane! 🔥🔥🔥 Upload any image. Move the camera in full 3D space. Generate a completely new angle like you actually reshot the scene. No reshoot. No complex 3D setup. Just perspective… unlocked. And it’s free... Project link in the comments. Go try it... #AI #3DTech #GenerativeAI #Innovation Arun Prasath S

People assume that generative tech makes image production faster and easier. Not in my world. For high-resolution commercial imagery, the opposite is true. Expectations rise, while the margin for error shrinks. If anatomy is off by a fraction or textures go plastic, the image collapses. Even when an image looks perfect, that doesn't make it right for the job. Either way, it’s slop. For me, the prompt is just the beginning. Then comes the real work: integrating texture and form, composing color and tone. Layer upon layer, a thousand careful decisions. Transparent, hand-painted, computational decisions. Each relying on craft and judgment built over decades. I can’t say what sci-fi novel we’ll be living in by 2030. I might be eking out a living on my UBI check. For now, work goes on. Brutal, satisfying, and always creative. AI hasn’t changed that. #KeyArt #Finishing #DigitalArt #AI Title card image generated using AI

Last week I watched a client struggle with a tough decision: should they embrace Nvidia's new DLSS 5 technology or stick with traditional rendering in their game development? This isn't just a tech choice—it's an artistic one. The fear? Losing the authentic touch of their original artwork. The tension was palpable as they contemplated whether generative AI would enhance their creative vision or overshadow it. Here's the insight that emerged: Generative AI in gaming isn't about replacing artistry; it's about augmenting it. The challenge is balancing AI's capabilities with artistic intent. Framework: 1. **Understand AI’s Role**: View generative AI as a collaborator, not a competitor. Leverage its power to enhance, not replace, your artistic direction. 2. **Set Clear Boundaries**: Define where AI can contribute and where human artistry must prevail. This ensures that technology supports creativity, not substitutes it. 3. **Continuous Feedback Loop**: Regularly evaluate AI’s impact on your projects. This allows for realignment, ensuring that the final product matches your artistic vision. Has anyone else faced similar challenges integrating AI into creative processes? Let's share experiences! #AI #GenerativeAI #ArtAndTech

Tech dummies who don't understand how Generative AI actually works openly embrace it as the future, but the reality of how Gen AI actually works makes its use in real time game graphics the worst place for its application. Financially it doesn't work: - You don't own the training images available for "free". - Training unique imagery tailored for your game's visuals cost as much or more money than just creating the art from scratch. Practically it doesn't work: - Any work done on inference in real time by your videocard robs its really time rendering performance. - Any die space dedicated for Neural processing for inference is wasted space where it could be dedicated to raster and tensor processing fir RT/Path tracing. - Any VRAM wasted on inference is VRAM taken away for raster and RT/path rendering. And inference is a HUGE RAM hog. - Any time thrown into traning for Gen AI is time taken away from game development. So if you want to use Gen AI like DLSS 5 properly in real time game graphics, it actually ends up negating any supposed advantage you might gain from using it. It's definitely not the future of realtime graphics. Its a desperate grift of trying to sell more AI right before the bubble pops.

Continuing to learn through the AI journey… Stable Diffusion is an open-source, generative AI model launched in 2022 that creates, modifies, and refines high-quality images, videos, and animations from text or image prompts. Developed by Stability AI, it uses "diffusion" technology to turn random noise into detailed images and is highly popular for running locally on computers with powerful GPUs. Key Aspects of Stable Diffusion: Text-to-Image & Image-to-Image: It can generate entirely new images from a text prompt or edit existing ones using methods like inpainting (filling in parts) and outpainting (extending edges). How it Works: The model operates by reducing noise in a latent space, which is a compressed representation of an image, making it faster and more efficient than older pixel-based models. Open Source: Unlike competitors (e.g., DALL-E), Stable Diffusion is open-source, allowing users to run it on their own hardware and customize it for specific artistic styles or tasks. Capabilities: Beyond static images, it supports video generation and uses tools like ControlNet to provide precise control over the composition and structure of the output.

“Corel Draw. Photoshop. 3D modeling. Digital photography killing the darkroom.” Do tell all of us about how these were firmly rooted in the IP theft and piracy of millions upon millions of artists and creators, explicitly designed to exploit and replace workers, and to destroy entire global industries and ecosystems for the revolting-scale enrichment of barely a handful of mega corporations, dear comments-turned-off-person. For starters. #degenerativeai #40yearsandstilldoesntunderstand
Better than Buzzwords | Turning Noise to Narratives | Because bland messaging builds dull brands | fractional communications
The brouhaha around AI continues to be loud — and about 40 years too late. 😉 AI is no longer hidden inside corporate think tanks. It’s been embedded in movies, banking, your car, advertising, and creative workflows for decades before it became dinner-table conversation. What changed isn’t the technology — it’s who can access it. Here’s what I keep coming back to: AI is a tool. Corel Draw. Photoshop. 3D modeling. Digital photography killing the darkroom. Every one of these sparked the same handwringing about authenticity and the death of “real” art. And most commercial and pop artists have been using AI in some form for years — even when they didn’t name it that way. Creativity lives in the creator. AI continues to reshape things, but it hasn’t replaced the person behind the vision. The distinction between using any medium carelessly versus deliberately has always mattered. And, it always will. If you think AI is new, perhaps you haven’t been paying attention. Head to my online journal — the receipts are there, going all the way back to the 1950s. https://lnkd.in/eYwu6Arz
