Adobe InDesign Variable Font Warning!!! 🚫 Just because it looks cool doesn’t mean it works for everyone. Adobe's variable fonts are sleek, flexible, and gaining popularity in design circles—but when it comes to accessible PDFs, they can create major problems. While the full episode talks about the challenges of multi-language accessible PDF documents, Chad Chelius, ADS and Dax Castro, ADS take a moment in this clip to discuss why variable fonts often fail to render properly for assistive tech and why that’s a risk you shouldn’t take. 🎯 If your font breaks the experience for screen reader users, it’s not accessible—period. 👉 Watch the full episode for more hard truths about what really makes content inclusive. https://lnkd.in/gz2Aq7t5 #Accessibility #PDFUA #InclusiveDesign #VariableFonts #ScreenReader #AccessibleDocuments #ChaxChat #DigitalInclusion #UX

Just a bit of a clarification, this is not every single variable form, but many of them. So if you're using a variable font, make sure you test by looking in your content pane to ensure that the content object contains non scrambled text.

I loved this episode and this was a big takeaway. Another great ep guys 😁
