"I'm not confident writing newsletters." 3-steps to make this your advantage, not a weakness. 👇 If you don't consider yourself a writer, then you're probably a talker. Here's how you can play to your strengths. Step 1: Voice transcribe your idea on the Notes app (or equivalent). Imagine you're chatting with someone on a podcast. Step 2: Ask AI to present it as a newsletter Step 3: Edit With this method, you're: 1. Using YOUR ideas. 2. Still retaining elements of YOUR style. Conversational + relatable are what people are looking for now. Not polish. Not a writer? Don’t let that stop you from adding your voice to the conversation. ________ Need help writing/editing your newsletter? Shoot me a DM if you need some help.

Writing gets more difficult the longer you do it. Why? Because eventually the well of ideas dries up, and without a proper method to refill it, you feel stuck. I still strugging with writer's block despite years of writing and literally thousands of LinkedIn posts. One great tip I got from 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗶, prolific writer and co-host of the popular business podcast "𝗠𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻," is to find something that you're curious about, figure it out, and share what you've learned. Don't judge it. If you find it interesting, others will too. Writing about what you DON'T know helps keep the process fresh (and is such a learning hack too). What's the best way you've found to overcome a writing slump? ==================== I help executives and high-profile professionals translate their authority into executive presence on LinkedIn. Have you ever read a post that felt like it went on forever, but you didn’t mind because every line pulled you in deeper? That’s the difference between long and boring writing. I’ve seen this a lot, even in my own drafts sometimes 😪. I’d blame the word count when the real issue was engagement.🌚 The truth? People will read anything if it’s interesting enough. Think about it, we binge 3-hour podcasts, long YouTube videos, even 10-slide carousels… when the story hooks us. Here are 3 tips to make your copy irresistibly engaging 👇 1. Start with tension, not information. Open with a question, a problem, a story, something that happened to you, or a bold statement. Curiosity is your reader’s leash, grab it early. 2. Write like you talk – but better.Strip off the jargon. Add rhythm. Add life. Make it sound like a conversation you’d actually have over coffee. 3. Build emotional momentum in your writing. Every sentence should make readers feel something; curiosity, excitement, fear, or hope. Emotion keeps them wanting to read more. So, writer to writer, what’s your go-to trick for keeping readers hooked till the last line?😉

Why most podcast editors are actually hurting your business: Had a discovery call yesterday where a potential client said: "My editor is great, but my content isn't generating any leads." This is the most common disconnect I see in the industry. Technical skill ≠ Strategic thinking Most editors are optimizing for audio quality when they should be optimizing for business impact. Here's what traditional editors focus on: → Removing "ums" and awkward pauses → Balancing audio levels → Adding intro/outro music → Creating clean, professional-sounding episodes Here's what strategic repurposing focuses on: → Identifying authority-building moments → Extracting lead-generating insights → Creating platform-specific versions → Positioning content to attract ideal clients Both are valuable. But only one grows your business. I've seen podcasters with "perfectly" edited shows get zero business results, while others with average audio quality generate six-figure revenues from their content. The difference? Strategic content positioning. When we work with clients, we're not just making their content sound better. We're making it work harder for their business. Every clip we create asks: → Does this build authority? → Does this attract ideal clients? → Does this move people toward a buying decision? Your editor should understand your business goals, not just your audio preferences. If they can't explain how each piece of content serves your business strategy, you're paying for a technical service when you need strategic support.

The best way to learn is to copy someone who does it really well. > Want to write better- Read more posts/articles from people whose writing style you admire My personal favorites are Zayd Syed Ali, Sam Dunning, Philip Ilic > Want to communicate well- Listen to podcasts of people who can articulate well Siddharth Warrier, Prakhar Gupta really knows how to break down complex topics in a simple way > Want to design well- Just go to Dribbble or Pinterest and get inspired. > Want to edit videos well- watch videos with great editing Aevy has really nailed this. The pattern is simple Find someone who is great at what you want to learn, expose yourself to their work more and then practice it yourself. p.s. The framework works really well for soft skills as well. Just surround yourself with people you want to be like.

💓 HAVE YOU CONSIDERED creative writing to more deeply explore your thoughts and ideas? And to better connect with others as a well-rounded human being? In my latest The Human Behind the Career Brand podcast interview with highly credentialled and respected poet Amanda Anastasi, who also supports career development clients as a writer, we discussed the power of poetry for all of us. 💭 As highlighted by Amanda, we can all use poetry and other creative writing to better reflect and connect, with both ourselves and others: "𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘴, 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 ... 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧-𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘶𝘴". 🎙 This is a podcast series that delves into the feats, flaws, fates and fabulousness of being a multifaceted human being and professional. At a time when AI and other digitisation is consuming us. When we're under threat of professional and personal homogenisation and habitualisation. I believe it's more important than ever to define our own unique career brand, supported by our individual stories, values, experiences, drivers and nuances. 🔔 Here's a link to the full podcast episode with Amanda on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gh_vZMJt 🔔 And feel free to reach out if you'd like to have a chat about this podcast series, and how we could potentially work together to promote you as a well-rounded individual with complementary values, interests and passions. #thehumanbehindthecareerbrand #careerbranding #careerbrandingmatters #personalbranding #humanconnection #poetry #literature #creativewriting #podcastshow
