🎧 Soft Launch: Hyper Radio A project I'm currently working on together with fellow developer and musician Axel Schubert — called Hyper Radio. We’re exploring what a new kind of music platform could look like. One that has the ethos of local radio but reimagined for the streaming era. We both really like the spirit of community radio, but think it could be evolved with today’s technology, minus the exploitative logic of the streaming giants. Over the next few months, we’re working toward releasing a working prototype, and we’re now looking for artists, podcasters, sonic experimenters, musicians, bands, and curious listeners who want to be part of our first pilot/test period. If you’d like to submit a track or join the waitlist, check out the link in bio. 💭 Some of the guiding questions behind the project: -Is it better to have 100 dedicated fans or 10,000 passive ones? -How can we build transparency into how artists get paid — with artist-centered structures at the core? -How might niche, local scenes thrive within a streaming platform rather than be flattened by global algorithms? -What would a decentralized backend look like that adapts to the dynamics of a scene, instead of forcing the scene to adapt to the platform? We’re building Hyper Radio as both a technical experiment and out of curiosity of rethinking how people discover, share, engage with and support sound. If any of this resonates with you, whether you’re an artist, developer, or listener, let's connect! #HyperRadio #MusicTech #IndieMusic #StreamingRevolution #AudioInnovation #LocalScenes #DevelopersWhoMakeMusic
