Dan Brodnitz’s Post

Some of the best and smartest folks in the industry were impacted by layoffs today. I know it can be a hard email or call to receive, even if you're ready for a change. If you were part of the LinkedIn layoffs, and you want to chat career and career pivots, drop me a note. I'm happy to help. And to my Learning friends in particular, whatever department you're in, you built something wonderful, as part of the best team I've known.

There's an opportunity to build a world-class teaching company with the people who've left in the last year. It's just hard to find the capital to fire it up. (And capital doesn't seem especially interested in teaching lately.)

It is quite the stark reminder that no one is "safe" in any role no matter how central one might seem to be in it, that sudden life-altering changes like this can seem (and possibly be) quite arbitrary, and that life will go on in some form or other no matter what changes around one because we can.

So true Dan Brodnitz. To all our impacted LinkedIn Learning friends, you did fantastic work. Thank you.

I'm in good company, then! I got official word today about a layoff that has been in the offing for a while.
