Last week, Ziegler had the pleasure of co-sponsoring the Holleran Senior Living Women’s Leadership Retreat. In preparation for the conference, Ziegler conducted research on CEOs in the 2025 LeadingAge Ziegler 200 (LZ 200) Multi-Sites and Single Sites. We began by looking at a simple frequency of CEOs broken out by gender and found that there are 12 female CEOs and 38 male CEOs among the LZ 200 providers, while there are 2 female CEOs and 23 male CEOs in the top 25 companies in the Fortune 500. In other words, Senior Living is outperforming the Fortune 500 in gender inclusivity. https://bit.ly/3MDTjEJ

According to McKinsey & Company’s “Women in the Workplace 2025” report, women remain noticeably underrepresented in leadership—especially at pivotal promotion points—yet the benefits of gender diversity are well-documented. I recently came across McKinsey & Company’s “Women in the Workplace 2025” report and found the statistics on women’s underrepresentation—especially at pivotal promotion points—striking. It’s also concerning that some companies have scaled back development programs aimed at supporting women’s growth. These findings underscore a real need to step up efforts to fill the gap. This is why I’m so passionate about HER Leadership Circle. Representation in leadership is so important. As Andrea Marshall Webb said at Credera's recent Women in Tech event, “If your leadership doesn’t reflect the people it represents, people aren’t going to believe they could reach those roles themselves.” It was great to hear leaders from across the industry talk about why visible and inclusive leadership matters so much for building a tech sector where everyone feels they belong. For anyone interested in this topic, I recommend watching Andrea Marshall Webb’s video below and reading the event write-up: https://lnkd.in/gcsNpaMM

A lot of women in leadership aren’t burned out because they lack skill. They’re burned out because they’re leading from pressure instead of alignment. Doing more doesn’t create thriving. Clarity does. Boundaries do. Leading from wholeness does. This is a reminder that sustainable leadership isn’t about proving your value it’s about staying aligned with it. #QueensPearls #WomenInLeadership #AlignedLeadership #LeadershipDevelopment #SustainableSuccess #LeadWithPurpose
