Reintroducing the work we are doing at Wonderland Project on behalf of women survivors. Wonderland Project is a federally recognized nonprofit that connects women survivors of domestic violence, rape, or sexual assault to ethical and trauma informed ceremonial plant medicine therapies, held by all women leadership teams. We are very grateful for the veterans who’ve paved the way for psychedelic research and awareness and preventing suicides. The impact is powerful and we are that much closer to making psychedelic therapies available for everyone 🙏. To date, there is still little research on women’s healing (in every sector, let alone psychedelic therapies!), little access for women, little awareness for women, and little support for women, although 1 in 3 women will experience a physical or sexual assault in their lifetime. From our own experiences, plant medicines heal PTSD in women (and many more things). We can’t and don’t want to wait for potentially long(er) processes of legalization, regulation, or standards of practice to be developed here in the US in order to heal. Our small, grassroots organization is doing what we can NOW to support survivors in a world that often ignores and silences the aggressions toward women. By the end of 2026 we will have awarded over $100,000 in scholarships for marginalized women survivors to participate in ethical plant medicine therapies. Coming up is a collaboration with Indigenous women leaders from various Amazonian tribes to hold a global nonprofit healing ceremony for women survivors in Brazil. We are excited to honor indigenous wisdom keepers, uplift women’s voices AND give access to healing for the women who need it most (you can learn more on our website) Wonderland Project is offering scholarships to this global women’s healing retrear for those in need.
