Something exciting is coming to The Learning Buzz! Join me for an upcoming conversation with Josh Cavalier as we explore how Learning & Development professionals are beginning to work alongside intelligent systems in entirely new ways. Along with Viṣakhananda S , we discuss what it looks like when tools like Claude, NotebookLM, and Lovable move beyond efficiency and start supporting how instructional designers think, create, and make decisions. This session focuses on practical experience and how practitioners are experimenting, adapting, and redefining design workflows as AI becomes part of the creative process. If you are curious about where instructional design is heading next, this conversation is one you won’t want to miss. Good instructional design isn’t about creating more content. It’s about alignment between learning goals and learner needs. Used thoughtfully, AI can help test structure and flow. People still decide what supports learning and what does not. In this Q&A roundtable, we’ll share how we use AI to support instructional design tasks such as brainstorming, structuring content, refining flow, and reviewing alignment, while keeping pedagogical decisions firmly human-led. The session will be shaped by participant questions and discussion. Bring a design challenge, a curiosity, or an example from your own work. Together, we’ll explore how AI can support iteration and clarity without replacing professional judgment, learning principles, or learner-centred design. Join us for this free roundtable on April 21st! https://zurl.co/DgJR5 #HumanLedAI #AIInLearning #InstructionalDesign #LearningDesign #AdultLearning [Image Description] A team gathered around a computer reviewing a course workflow.

Remember how Instructional Design used to be? ❌ Endless hours of manual work ❌ Slow, outdated processes ❌ One-size-fits-all learning experiences Well… welcome to 2026 🚀 AI isn’t just a tool. It’s a catalyst. What used to take weeks? Now gets done in days. And the best part? Learning adapts — to each individual. ✔️ Instant content creation ✔️ Real-time performance tracking ✔️ Personalized engagement that actually sticks ♻️ Repost if you’ve seen the shift from “Then” to “Now” in your world too #AIinLearning #LearningAndDevelopment #FutureOfWork #Upskill

Thoughts for today: The role of instructional design is changing rapidly. If we start with “build a course,” we’re already behind. The real question is: what improves performance? - Automate what can be automated. - Use job aids/process tweaks when they work - Train only where human skill truly matters, and prioritize realistic practice (simulations). AI is a force multiplier here: faster analysis, rapid prototyping, and scalable, lifelike practice. IDs who lead with performance and use AI wisely will create more impact with less. #InstructionalDesign #LearningAndDevelopment #AIinLearning #PerformanceConsulting #eLearning

All Learning Designers know how processing documents can be one of the heaviest parts of our workload. And at the end of it, we usually still need to produce at least one content deliverable from the info — designed, prototyped, and developed. But what if you could take a document (such as a slide deck) and instantly get a video from it? Thanks to modern AI tools, we’ve been speeding up the learning content creation process dramatically. It’s quickly becoming much more realistic for a single ID to produce the types of learning content demanded of them. Powtoon has been heavily invested in different ways AI can support Instructional Designers. Today I’m highlighting their very exciting Anything-to-Video feature. Here’s the workflow: Step 1: Log in to Powtoon and set up an account to access your AI credits Step 2: Select Create with AI and choose AI Anything-to-Video Step 3: Upload your document or slide deck and choose a video style Step 4: Click to generate the script, then click generate the video Step 5: Customize everything in Powtoon Studio with your brand colors and elements From there, you can export and share your video wherever it’s needed. Try it today by clicking here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/e5ysKU3p 💜 React 💾 Save ♻️ Repost #InstructionalDesign #LearningAndDevelopment #AIForLearning (In partnership with Powtoon )

AI can write a course in sixty seconds. But speed isn't the same as impact. We are seeing a growing AI Strategy Gap in the L&D world. It's the space between generating content quickly and actually solving a performance problem. AI is incredible at gathering information, but it doesn't understand your business goals or your learners' struggles. Content is just one piece of the puzzle. Without a solid instructional design strategy, you are just delivering a faster data dump. We believe that every piece of training must have a clear purpose. It needs to bridge a specific gap in knowledge or skill, not just fill a screen with text. Instructional design is the protective filter. It ensures that the tools we use, like AI, serve the learning outcomes rather than just the clock. When we build solutions at ABK Learning Solutions, we start with the strategy. We ask why the training exists before we worry about how fast we can build it. If your training isn't moving the needle, it might be time to bridge that gap. See how we build strategic learning experiences at https://lnkd.in/eNE_jX6J.

Like many of you, I'm always looking for ways to work smarter as an Instructional Designer. I recently set up Claude Code, and I'm in the early stages of figuring out where it fits in my process. Before I go too far down my own path, I wanted to ask the community: where have you found it most valuable in your ID work? If you've found a workflow that's actually moved the needle, I'd love to hear about it, and any resources you'd recommend are welcome in the comments. 👇 #Learning #Claude #AI #InstructionalDesign #vibecoding
