Your Firm Doesn’t Have a Time Problem — It Has a Task Problem Most law firms aren’t short on time. They’re overwhelmed by unclear, untracked tasks. 📝 Missed follow-ups, half-finished work, and tasks living in someone’s head quietly slow everything down. As litigation grows in volume and complexity, many law firms and legal departments find that all‑in‑one platforms no longer meet their needs. Our latest blog examines where these systems break down and why litigation teams are increasingly separating case management, document management, and accounting to gain stronger visibility and control. A litigation‑focused system of record fits seamlessly into modern legal technology, supporting scalable case management without requiring teams to replace every tool at once. Read the blog to see why this shift is becoming essential as litigation operations evolve. https://lnkd.in/gspptJZV #litigationcasemanagement #legalcasemanagementsoftware #legaltechnologyplatforms #legaltech #lawfirm #casemanagement

Most law firms are still stitching together five different tools to run one case — and losing hours every week in the process. Amicus replaces that entire stack: drafting, client communication, case management, and customization in one system built for how modern firms actually work. Fewer tools. Faster workflows. More time for actual law. #LegalTech #PersonalInjuryLaw #PILaw #TrialLawyers #LawFirmSoftware #CaseManagement #LitigationTech #LawFirmOperations

I very much enjoyed discussing the current environment for midsize law firms on this program today. Karen and I don't necessarily agree that there is "escalating risk" for midsize firms. We view our size as strengthening our ability to provide personal and exceptional service, in a market where clients increasingly can feel a little lost in the big law arena.

If your law firm depends on you for every decision, every approval, and every correction, do you truly own a business or just a practice? In this episode of Systems Simplified, I sat down with Brooke Lively to discuss her new book, Scaling Law, the first EOS Worldwide published book created exclusively for lawyers. Brooke shares why many attorneys believe EOS does not work for them and why that belief holds firms back. Law firms are not too unique for systems. In fact, their complexity makes clear structure, accountability, and leadership even more essential. We walked through the six components of EOS, Vision, People, Data, Issues, Process, and Traction, and how each pillar supports profitable growth. We also discussed the difference between delegating and abdicating, and why unclear expectations create repeated problems. One powerful example Brooke shared involved law firm partners using different client contracts, a preventable risk that disappears when processes are documented and centralized. The takeaway is universal. Without documented processes, clear accountability charts, and structured decision making, businesses repeat the same issues. When systems are implemented and followed consistently, even 80 percent of the time, firms gain traction, reduce chaos, and create organizations that can grow beyond the owner. #EOS #LawFirmGrowth #BusinessSystems

A litigation boutique can move faster when document review takes minutes, not hours. For Lightfoot, Franklin & White, the impact is clear. Lawyers reclaim up to 10 hours per week, redirecting time to strategy, client engagement, and trial preparation. One example says it all. Preparing for four depositions and nearly 1,000 pages of unorganized records, the team used Harvey to generate person-specific summaries in about 10 minutes. Work that once took half a day was completed before the morning was over. Clients are noticing. A firm’s GenAI capability now factors into outside counsel decisions, and Lightfoot’s responsible use of Harvey is helping win new matters. Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/g5hNUPJ7

Law firms were never designed for volume — they were designed for judgment. As client expectations grow, speed increases, and operational complexity expands, structure becomes critical. Not all legal work requires an attorney, but all legal work requires precision, process, and accountability. This is where LPO exists. LPO is not about replacing lawyers. It is about strengthening law firms with operational intelligence — managing scale, ensuring consistency, reducing risk, and delivering predictable outcomes. Because in today’s legal market, execution matters just as much as expertise.

Legacy tools often struggle to support the pace and volume of today’s large firms. It’s encouraging to see measurable improvements tied to better workflow design and operational clarity.
