Chris Curtis’ Post

After 30 years at Nissan, yesterday was my final day as I transition into retirement. So grateful to have worked alongside so many talented individuals over the years, and the great accomplishments we achieved as a team. Also very fortunate to have been able to travel across the globe and experience a wide range of countries and cultures. Fitting that there would be such an amazing sunset while heading out. Will take with me the friendships and memories into my next adventures.

Chris Curtis, congratulations on an extraordinary career. I was fortunate to work with you in multiple chapters. First as your manager at Nissan, where your depth of knowledge, integrity, and fierce loyalty to the team were impossible to miss. Later, from the other side of the table, as a vendor at AWS, where those same traits showed up with the same consistency and trust. What always stood out to me was not just what you knew, but how you showed up. Calm under pressure. Thoughtful in decisions. Deeply committed to the people around you. Those qualities leave a mark long after projects end and titles change. Thirty years is a remarkable journey, and the sunset feels well earned. I am grateful for the time we worked together and excited to see where your next chapter takes you. Knowing you, it will be purposeful, curious, and anything but quiet. Wishing you the very best in what comes next.

What is this retirement stuff all my former Nissan colleagues keep speaking of??? Congrats Chris. Let me know if you get bored and want to start work 2.0

Wow Chris, it's been that long ago? Did you know dirt when you were both young? Wahahaha, hey im enjoying retirement. Holler if you get to San Antonio one day. Very best wishes to you and your Family.

Chris - this can not possible as you are such a young man. Anyway, it was an absolute honour to work with you and learn from you. I’m even more grateful of our friendship and my belated introduction to all great things Nashville & hockey. Would love to have you visit us in Abu Dhabi or Brisbane some time. My best wishes mate.

Congratulations, Chris! Well-earned! It was a pleasure and honor to work with and for you. You have definitely left Nissan in a better state from all of your endeavors over your 30 years. You are leaving a big void to be filled. I hope you and Guna enjoy your retirement together and I wish the best! Thanks for your support and friendship.

Several folks can say they worked with Chris, but I'm not sure how many can say they worked with and ran a 26.2 marathon with him! Congrats, Bud!
