CD PROJEKT RED’s Post

Medallion's humming... that can only mean one thing! It's time to announce The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Songs of the Past! ⚔️ This brand new expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will take you to the Path with Geralt of Rivia once more. It’s being co-developed with Fool's Theory and is coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in 2027. Stay tuned for more information in late summer. #insideRED #RED #CDPR #TheWitcher

  • Geralt of Rivia stands ready for combat. He looks over his left shoulder and unsheathes his sword. Behind him is a monster made of twisted branches and twigs with hollow eyes and an open mouth. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt logo is printed in the center, with an additional logo for Expansion Pack: Songs of the Past on a purple banner underneath.

We originally planned to make this big reveal during our REDstreams tomorrow, but let's say we found something we didn't yet expect on RED Launcher. 🐺⚔️

The Witcher always understood that progression works best when exploration itself remains emotionally rewarding, not just mechanically adding more stuff. I worked over the first part of the whole franchise.

The best news of 2026 so far.

Looking for a new position daily and suddenly a new expansion for The Witcher 3 pops up :D

With new content coming to the game, we also need to update our system requirements to ensure smooth performance and compatibility going forward. These requirements will become effective starting from the next update. Read more: https://thewitcher.ly/NewRequirements

I am playing Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time at the moment and thought just yesterday that while it is a fine game, nothing compares to The Witcher 3. In The Witcher, I always felt like I was truly part of the world, and I would rather play that instead. That being said, I am really happy that I will get the opportunity to play a new DLC

Didn't have "new Witcher 3 expansion announced on LinkedIn" on my 2026 bingo card, damn!
