Cato Institute’s Post

The Trump administration’s proposed “Golden Dome,” modeled on Israel’s Iron Dome and AMD, rests on a system now showing clear vulnerabilities. The lesson for the US is clear, says Cato’s Benjamin Giltner. https://ow.ly/cWJx50YBstU

Why does the Cato Institute hate America so much? As stated below, their analysis is childish - willing to make up anything if they can take a jab at Trump. Our military is doing an amazingly good job - we should expect an end to the war in 4-6 weeks. Predictions of a quagmire are just silly. A partnership between the United States and Israel is frankly unstoppable. I feel badly for Europe, being on the wrong side of history.

Cato continues to do childish analysis on the topic of war. In this case, letting some missiles through would not be a “fail” unless one lands on your house. Otherwise, success. Different degrees of success. Not binary. And if you are worried about our enemies changing strategies, guess what…these types of systems can be adapted. This is not literally a static golden shield. If you want to analyze the merits of Golden Dome, you have to do better than this.

Cato Institute you continue to be a disappointment to the libertarian movement and the principles endeared by the namesake of your organization. Challenge me on this idea, please.
