Announcing my new training on accessible events! Organizations can now book this interactive and valuable training to help you improve the design of your in-person, virtual, and hybrid events. In honor of my 5-year business anniversary, I thought it was time to add something new and shiny to my offerings. Training Description: Learn how to make your events more inclusive and effective! Many of us have never received training on how to create events that are truly inclusive, especially for disabled attendees. At least 25% of adults in the US are disabled, so this is a large group of people. You know what non-inclusive events feel like if: - You were unable to hear someone at an event because they said they didn't need to use a microphone - You needed a break but a session ran late - You felt overwhelmed by croweded and loud networking spaces This interactive session will help you improve the design of your in-person, virtual, and hybrid events. It will provide clear and actionable best practices you can use right away. Why are inclusive events important? When we design events without considering accessibility and inclusion, these events can have barriers for some participants and can leave them out. Even those who do participate can experience higher levels of stress, energy depletion, and lower levels of contribution. Designing accessible events removes barriers and helps create an environment where everyone can participate at the same level. By making your events more accessible, you’ll also be making them more impactful and successful. Because accessible design is good design. Ready to book? If you book the training by June 19 (training can be scheduled for a future date), I've got a special bonus for you! You'll receive 1 free consulting hour with me. You can use it however you like. Submit an inquiry on my website or contact me with any questions. Have you ever attended a training on accessible events? What else would you add? #Accessibility #EventPlanning #Disability
