We're proud to see Columbus Monthly spotlight the incredible work happening at Mitchell Hall on Columbus State's campus — a facility our founder, Cameron Mitchell, helped bring to life with a vision of giving back to the hospitality industry. As Cameron shared when Mitchell Hall opened in 2019, "I wanted this building to stand as a beacon of opportunity for anyone, from any background, who dreams of building a career in hospitality." Today, Mitchell Hall serves that mission beautifully. Through The Mix community cooking classes, degree programs for the next generation of culinary professionals, student-run dining experiences at Blend Café and Degrees, and partnerships with organizations like Growlers Dog Bones, this 80,000-square-foot space is creating pathways to opportunity while strengthening our Columbus community. Whether you're a home cook learning to perfect bananas foster or a student building the foundation for a career, Mitchell Hall represents what we believe most deeply: that genuine hospitality starts with investing in people.
