Big moves in Lee County: over 650 buses are now equipped with full stop-arm camera systems to protect students on their way to and from school. The new program kicks off with a 30-day warning period, and full enforcement begins December 8th. What really stands out is the teamwork behind this initiative: the school district, the sheriff’s office, and BusPatrol all collaborating to enhance safety. This effort is not about policing for the sake of it; it’s about creating a safer ride home for every child on every route. When we transition from hoping “drivers will stop” to designing systems that ensure they must stop, behavior changes and safety become a reality. Lee County isn’t just talking about protecting kids; they’re taking action. For more details, visit the link: https://lnkd.in/g4gU2ZeG
