51 subscription app onboarding flows. 105 insights on what makes them convert. One Figma file. I did the work so you don't have to. Strava. Duolingo. Noom. Headspace. Coinbase. Flo. Alltrails. Rise. Headway. Fitbit. And 41 more. Sports & Fitness. Finance. Health. Education. Wellness. Every screen documented. Every pattern broken down. These aren't random apps. They all have massive user bases, 4.5+ star ratings, or are trending challengers backed by tier 1 VCs. A few insights amongst many that I thought were interesting: 👉 Use personalization to surface the problem. When someone rates their sleep as 3/10 or their stress as "overwhelming," they just sold themselves on why they need the product. The quiz IS the pitch. 👉 Framing personalization as a clinical intake, not a quiz. Feels counterintuitive, but "professional assessment" garners more commitment and trust than "fun personality quiz." Works in health, finance, even fitness depending on the product. 👉 Normalize beginner status mid-flow. "Most people start here" and "You're not behind" reduce the shame that kills completion. Four words, massive impact. 👉 Frame notifications as coaching, not alerts. "We'll help you stay on track" vs "Enable notifications." Same permission request. Totally different opt-in rate. 👉 Match your commitment tone to the category. Soft and flexible in wellness ("whenever feels right"). Clear and structured in education ("5 minutes daily"). Get this wrong and it feels off immediately. I'll paywall this soon. Drop a like and comment "GROWTH" and I'll send it over free. #growth #apps #startups #productmanagement #onboarding
