to be fair it could almost be an hr screening interview as questions are so vague for a principal architect role. i understand at this level it is more about the abstract view than low level engineering however even some lead or senior personals could nail this stage.

I think the best question to get at culture is for the principal to ask “describe a recent architecture team accomplishment and how was it celebrated?” Besides culture, the key convept here is “work where you are celebrated”
