Big update to Document Library Pro 🚀 We’ve restructured the plugin to make it simpler and more flexible than ever. It now comes in two versions: ✅ Essentials – for smaller sites that need a simple, searchable document library. ✅ Advanced – for larger organisations that need bulk import, access control, version control, expiry dates, and more. Previously, customers had to combine Document Library Pro with our Password Protected Categories plugin to create private document libraries. This worked, but it wasn’t ideal. Now, everything is built directly into Document Library Pro - one plugin, one install, designed specifically for documents. All existing customers have been automatically upgraded to Advanced for free. Learn more about what’s new and why we made the change: https://lnkd.in/dcHv__H3

I spent 5 hours building a bridge nobody should need: Markdown → WordPress Ali G (yes, his actual name) asked me to add one page to his WordPress site. I looked at the admin panel and thought: *hell no*. 11 plugins. Three just for SEO. Menus inside menus inside settings. TinyMCE editor. Gutenberg blocks. Four different ways to add content, all of them bad. "I'll automate this," I said. "Use the REST API." The REST API exists. WordPress shipped it in 2016. It's documented, it's official, it should work. It doesn't. SiteGround's "Anti-Bot AI" blocks all automated requests. GitHub Actions? Blocked. Legitimate API calls with proper auth? Captcha. So I built a bridge: **GitHub Actions → SSH → WP-CLI**. Push Markdown, get WordPress pages. Bypasses all the HTTP security theater. But here's the real problem: LLMs love Markdown. Plain text. Version control. Diffs. Files you can read, edit, and compose. CMSs love databases. `wp_posts` tables. Serialized PHP arrays. Metadata scattered across join tables. Content trapped in proprietary schemas. AI agents can't navigate WordPress admin. They struggle with database schemas. But give them Markdown files in Git? They excel. WordPress powers 40% of the web. It's not going anywhere. But if you were starting a content site today—knowing AI agents are the future—would you choose database complexity over files in Git? I know what I'd do. Too many website projects end with: "Here's your login. Good luck." Zero training. Zero documentation. Zero ongoing support. Just a developed site and an expectation that you'll figure it out. Then when you need to: - Add content - Update images - Change anything You have no idea how. The backend looks like a spaceship cockpit. You're terrified to click anything. And your developer is nowhere to be found. This is abandonment btw. Not handoff of a deliverable. A finished website without training or support isn't finished. It's just live. It's finished when you're confident you can: 1. Manage it yourself 2. Or have a reliable partner who can "Here's your login" without that is borderline malpractice.

Project Description This project uses N8n to automate the handling of Live Call recordings stored in Google Drive. When new MP3/MP4 files are uploaded, the workflow renames them, keeps the MP4 for embedding, and sends the MP3 for transcription with speaker labels. The transcript is saved, converted to Word and PDF, and a summarized version is generated using GPT in multiple parts. All final files—video, transcript, and summary—are stored in the correct Google Drive folder and then embedded into a WordPress lesson template. The end result is a complete session page with the video and all documents ready for members.

Confused about Claude MCP vs Claude Skills? Me too, so I decided to dig deeper and research about it. The screenshot below shows how many tokens 2 MCPs (Playwright and Chrome Dev Tools) I've installed occupy. 16% of the context window just for MCPs? Hell no! Skills are similar to MCP, but built differently. MCPs are always loaded in the context window, Skills are not. In fact, they use a progressive disclosure design pattern. What does it mean? It means that when Claude Code checks if it needs to use any installed Skill (based on the user's prompt), it checks the following things in the exact order: 1) SKILL.md metadata (about 100 tokens consumption) 2) SKILL.md body (about 5k tokens consumption) 3) Additional files such as scripts, data, etc (unlimited tokens) So if the user's prompts is "create a Word Doc with that does keyword research for dog food", Claude Code first reads all the Skills metadata files, finds the one about PDF and reads the PDF SKILL.md file. This allows to only consume tokens when 'needed'.

🚀 Developer checklist for choosing the right .NET PDF library My colleague Deepika Kathiravan wrote a fantastic guide that helps developers pick the right PDF generation library for real world projects. It is a quick and clear checklist that shows what really matters when building document workflows in .NET.💡 From template based generation to accessibility and signatures this article helps you make the right decision for your next project. 📄✨ It also shows why long standing PDF and document tools such as TX Text Control are a safe choice. These libraries have matured over decades, provide deep compatibility with existing templates, support modern standards such as PDF UA and offer the reliability that large scale applications depend on. 🏗️🔒 Another key point is choosing a vendor that provides a complete ecosystem for document processing. Editing, generating, viewing, signing and validating should come from one consistent platform to avoid integration gaps and future limitations. 🔁📚 👉 Read it here: https://lnkd.in/dESDTsfu #dotnet #pdf #documentprocessing
