Proud to have taken part in Konvensyen Kebangsaan Mahasiswa Kejuruteraan 2025,held over for 3 days (23 - 25 April 2025) at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Engineering Campus. The convention featured many insightful sessions, each offering fresh perspectives on the future of engineering and technology. The session that truly stood out: “Kepentingan SDG dan AI dalam Industri” Hearing from Miss Ayu Shahirah Salem (Experience Designer,BP Business Service Centre Asia) and Mr. Muhammad Za'im Mohamad Yusoff (Employer Branding & HR Sustainability lead at Bank Islam Malaysia) opened my eyes to how AI and the 17 SDGs can shape industries with purpose. What made it even more meaningful — Miss Ayu Shahirah Salem a.k.a #orangslay has been my role model for a long time. I even did a university assignment about her. And during the event got to show her that assignment in person. She also introduced IKIGAI — a powerful reminder to build careers at the intersection of passion, talent, purpose, and value. Mr. Za’im’s words still echo in my head since he’s the one who bijak bermadah kata Write your dreams down — Because when you write with intention, the world listens. "Sesamar-samar tulisan lebih baik dari sekuat-kuat ingatan." Mr. Za’im also introduced us to Sadaqa House — and it seriously caught my attention. One of the coolest features? You can schedule your sadaqah in advance, like during Lailatul Qadr. Even if you forget, it auto-deducts at the set time. Super easy, super impactful. Another standout session: “STEM Forward: Catalyzing Change” with Dr. Sazani (Director of Broadcom), deep dive into the semiconductor industry and why STEM will lead Malaysia’s next big wave. To top it all off,we had a career fair featuring big name companies like Intel Corporation, Huawei, Micron Technology, Sandisk, ViTrox Corporation Berhad, Infineon Technologies, Jabil and more. So many opportunities under one roof.
