I’ve recently been thinking a lot about how coaches learn and develop through practice, feedback and reflection – especially alongside others. It's led me to start 𝘐𝘯 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦: An occasional email with reflection prompts and insights for coaches who want to keep developing thoughtfully. The intention is to support regular reflection and ongoing learning, without adding to the noise or pressure to 𝘥𝘰 more. Sharing it here in case it’s useful to anyone in my network.
I've been thinking about how best to keep coaches informed about the Coaching Practice Pods – but more than that, wanting to offer something genuinely useful that might help us step away from the noise, rather than adding to it. So I’ve started 𝘐𝘯 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦. It’s an occasional email with reflection prompts, coaching insights, and updates on opportunities to practise and develop your coaching alongside other coaches. If that sounds useful, you can follow along here: https://lnkd.in/eeVPWECc I’d love to hear what reflections it prompts for you.

Which Coaching Model Fits the Individual Conversation? Every coaching conversation is different because every individual brings different needs, emotions, challenges, and goals into the space. Some conversations need structure and action, while others require reflection, awareness, possibility, deeper transformation or handling obstacles. Models like GROW, CLEAR, OSCAR, Transformational and WOOP Coaching are not about following rigid frameworks — they are different approaches that help coaches respond to what the individual truly needs in that moment. The real skill in coaching is not just knowing the models, but understanding when to use which approach.

Why "just ask powerful questions" is the worst coaching advice. Powerful questions without presence are just clever interrogation. A question lands only when the coach is fully attuned, curious, unhurried. EMCC's framework puts presence before process — because clients don't need better questions. They need a coach who is genuinely, fully there. I am curious what is your experience with this topic - both as coaches and clients? #EMCC #CoachingPresence #PowerfulQuestions
