Austin Darigo’s Post

From the Boston Marathon to the Philadelphia Broad Street Run, and now the Dirty German 50M – it’s been a wild stretch of racing this spring. This one was my eighth ultramarathon and ended up placing 5th overall and 1st in my age group (30–39). Safe to say, my legs have earned a little time off! What made this race even more meaningful was getting to run it on Mother’s Day weekend – and having my mom at the finish line. After hours on the trails (including a pretty good tumble down a hill), sharing that finish and award moment with her made the whole weekend extra special. And I’ve got to shout out my close friend and ultramarathon partner-in-crime Michael Stegura, PMP, who’s not only a veteran on this course but a constant source of motivation and camaraderie through these long miles. Grateful for strong legs, stronger support systems, and the chance to keep showing up - both on and off the trails - for the things (and people) that matter most. Carving out space for these challenges outside of work helps me bring clarity and energy into everything else I do. #trulyhuman #ultramarathon #ultrarunning
