🏅 Not All Medals Are for Showing Off Before moving to Denmark a year ago, I had a plan. I gave myself 4 months to: 💼 Find a job 🏠 Settle my family 🏋️♂️ Get back into training 🚴♀️ Learn the city 😎 And even make a friend or two! But guess what? After 4 months, I still didn't have a job. I got lost on my bike regularly. I hadn’t made any friends. And my family? Still adjusting. Did I fail? No. The plan failed because it was unrealistic. Life isn’t a checklist, and most of the time, your timelines will get crushed. That year, I didn’t earn any of those external medals—the ones that make us feel like we’re enough. But I started noticing the internal medals I was winning: the courage to keep going, the resilience to adapt, and the strength to pivot. These inner medals 🏅 are the important ones. They allow you to keep pushing when things get hard. They build your true worth, confidence, and strength. Your worth doesn't come from external medals. I finally talked about my near-death experience at the @aeeapac Asia Pacific Conference. If you didn't know: I jumped off a 530-meter cliff last year and my parachute malfunctioned. Hanging on by a thread, I survived but broke a lot of things. I try not to complain because the reality of it is that I could have been dead or had it a lot worse. Luckily I only broke 3 out of my 4 limbs. I know a lot of my friends and insta family do not know the entire story. Well, the story is long and I am on the journey to pen all the details of my knock on deaths door it all into a book. That may take some time.
