Your new hire had the skills but they didn’t stay. Why? . . I remember speaking with a business owner who told me this after losing one of their best hires within their first 3 months. The candidate was perfect on paper, top qualifications, solid experience, great references. But something didn’t click. They couldn’t adapt to the team’s rhythm. Meetings felt tense. The excitement faded fast. And this isn’t rare - 80% of bad hires occur because of cultural misalignment, not lack of skill sets. The real solution isn’t to hire faster or offer bigger paychecks. It’s to hire people who align with your mission, your values, your way of working. At GV Business Solutions, that’s exactly what we do. We don’t stop at resumes, we look for attitude, energy, and mindset. Because the right person doesn’t just fill a role, they fit into the story. 🔹 Hire people who belong, not people who just apply. #Hiring #Recruitment #CulturalFit #TeamGrowth #Leadership #StartupLife #BusinessGrowth #RecruitmentStrategy #GVBusinessSolutions GV Business Solutions Monica M.

The "perfect candidate" doesn't exist. And that's actually good news. I've seen companies pass on incredible talent because they were missing one bullet point from a 15-item checklist. Meanwhile, their competitors hired someone with 80% of the skills, invested in their growth, and now have a loyal, high-performing team member who's exceeded expectations. Stop looking for unicorns. Start building them. The best hires aren't always the most polished—they're the ones with potential, drive, and cultural fit. What's one "must-have" requirement you've reconsidered in hiring? 👇 #Recruiting #TalentAcquisition #HiringTips #TechRecruiting #RecruitmentStrategy #HRTips #TalentManagement #Hiring #TopTechTalent #LinkedIn

💡 Stop Hiring for the Perfect Resume. Start Hiring for the Right Fit. Too many companies still filter out incredible talent because they don’t check every box. But here’s the truth: the best team members often grow into the role. They bring curiosity, adaptability, and values that amplify your culture. Skills can be trained. Mindset, motivation, and cultural alignment cannot. I really enjoyed this HBR piece on why great companies hire for potential, not experience 👇 https://lnkd.in/gX2rUVBX When I think about the best hires I have made, they were not always the obvious ones. They were the people who brought heart, grit, and fresh perspective. What do you value most when hiring: proven experience or potential to grow? #TalentAcquisition #Hiring #Leadership #PeopleFirst #Recruiting #HR #FutureOfWork #CompanyCulture #HiringTips #CareerGrowth #TeamBuilding #Inclusion #LeadershipDevelopment #WorkCulture

Experience can look impressive on paper, but it doesn’t always deliver in performance. That’s why 73% of recruiters now believe skills-based hiring builds stronger, more capable teams. Because when you hire for skill, you don’t just fill positions, you unlock potential. You find people who can solve problems, adapt fast, and drive measurable results from day one. The best recruiters aren’t chasing résumés anymore. They’re building teams that can do, not just claim to. I’ve been in recruitment long enough to say this, sometimes it’s not the talent that’s broken, it’s the hiring process. Last week, I spoke to a brilliant developer, strong portfolio, great technical depth, and a genuinely humble person. She didn’t make it past the final round. Why? Because she didn’t “sound confident enough.” No feedback on her work. Just… a gut feeling. It made me think - how many great people are we losing because our hiring systems value presentation over potential? We talk about the “talent gap” a lot, but maybe what we really have is a trust gap! 🧩 Candidates don’t trust the process. 🧩 Hiring managers don’t trust recruiters. 🧩 And recruiters are stuck in between, trying to make it work. Here’s my take: The future of hiring isn’t about finding “perfect fits.” It’s about creating space where imperfect people can do their best work. Because the truth is, great companies don’t hire flawless people, they hire learners, collaborators, and problem-solvers. 💭 What do you think, have we made hiring too focused on performance over potential? #RecruitmentThoughts #HiringTruth #TalentAcquisition #FutureOfWork #RecruiterLife #ITRecruitment #HiringBias

As someone who’s spent years in Talent Acquisition, here’s one thing I’ve learned: 👉 Hire for attitude and potential, skills can always be developed. A curious mind, a positive attitude, and genuine energy can take someone further than any perfect CV ever will. Because hiring isn’t only about what people know, it’s about how they show up, collaborate, and grow. #TalentAcquisition #GTM #LIKE #Talent_PARTNER #SLACK #GEM #TECH #LINKEDIN #HIRE #SHARE #Hiring #Leadership #PeopleCulture #GrowthMindset

✨ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐌𝐞 — 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 When I first stepped into recruitment at a startup, I thought it was all about hiring fast and filling roles. Simple, right? 💼 But here’s what I’ve truly learnt — recruitment is not just about hiring people; it’s about building dreams, culture, and trust from the ground up 🌱. In a startup, every hire is like adding a new piece to the company’s foundation 🧩. One wrong fit can shake things; one great fit can elevate everything 🚀. I’ve seen how a single motivated hire can change the energy of the whole team ⚡. How culture grows not from policies, but from the people you bring in . And how behind every offer letter lies a story — of aspirations, risks, and new beginnings 💭. Recruitment taught me to listen beyond resumes 👂, to spot potential over perfection, and to believe that hiring is the art of connecting people with purpose 💫. If you’re in recruitment — or even building a team — remember this: 💡 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬; 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲’𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰. 💬 What’s one thing you’ve learnt about hiring that changed your perspective? #Recruitment #StartupCulture #HR #Hiring #PeopleAndCulture #HumanResources #CareerGrowth #RecruiterLife #WorkCulture #Leadership
