It is quite telling that nearly every single person with hot takes about the benefits of coding agents works in the industry, or at the very least has the word "AI" in their job title.
The biggest tragedy is that LinkedIn has the biggest repository of career and academic data associated with individuals on the entire internet, and the algorithm still decides to flood my feed with random rage-bait from three week old accounts. Shame on you LinkedIn.
I understand there are many opportunists making noise. But if you really believed in a technology, wouldn't you move to a company/position that produces it? It would be strange if somebody excited about the internet 30 years ago stayed in their line-of-business desktop software job instead of doing web stuff.
Just the same as when you see someone insisting that AI isn't making hiring decisions, or telling you why candidates are almost entirely to blame for the current hiring shitshow - scroll up to find "Recruiter" or "Recruitment Specialist" as their tag line.
It's more telling that they have the words blockchain, web3, crypto, SEO etc. in their bio. Wagon jumpers.
It's quite telling that people with names I can't pronounce ignore hot takes from people without the word "AI" in their job title because it doesn't drive any engagement.
It's like being a Crypto Bro.
I agree. Which is why I don’t have it!
