This title was summarized by AI from the post below.

Blender vs Maya: The Ongoing Debate in 3D Animation Every 3D artist has faced the question. Blender or Maya? Both are powerful, but they shine in different ways. Maya has long been the industry standard, known for its robust tools, advanced rigging, and reliability in large-scale studio pipelines. It’s built for precision and integration in professional workflows. Blender, on the other hand, is redefining accessibility. It’s open-source, constantly evolving, and fueled by a passionate global community. With tools like Geometry Nodes, Eevee, and Grease Pencil, Blender proves that innovation doesn’t have to come with a price tag. At the end of the day, it’s not about which software is better — it’s about which one aligns with your creative goals and workflow. 👉 Which one do you prefer for your projects? It is hard to decide a winner, but I know who is the biggest looser. 3ds Max :-)

I've been animating with Maya for 16 years and using Blende as well for about 2 years. For my personal projects I prefer Blender over Maya, but not by far, Maya is a great software too and more appropriate for large teams od animators because of some key features. I never stopped using (and paying for) Maya because most of my clients use this software. What I always say to anyon who asks me what to learn is: Learn both. And also Unreal. It takes years to learn how to animate, but it takes only a couple of weeks to learn and get used to a new software where you can do what you already now what to do in another software. They are just tools, which one is better should not be a debate at all, let's play with both, form our own oppinion because everyone has their own way of thinking and using the tools, you don't know what tool match your style untill you try it by yourself.

I believe that both software have their uses. For modelling specifically i prefer blender with its addons like boxcutter and hardops, but when i need to do retopology il pick Maya 10/10 times.

🫠🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 OMG I'm too old for this $%#@^t.

I like blender because its free. just hate learning all the shortcuts but can be used for a lot of things than modeling or animations.

Blender all the way for me. Coming from 3ds max.

I like Blender more and more. I find it more versatile than Maya.

Maya for animation and rigging. Blender for everything else
