Fascinating interview with David Allison, who left a 25-year career in marketing to establish The Valuegraphics Research Company and built the first global inventory of human values across 180 countries. 💸 His research shows that traditional demographic targeting might be leaving money on the table. Why? Because your customers aren't unified by their age or income - they're unified by what matters most to them. 💡 People are 2.1x more unified by their entertainment choices than by sharing a generation. 👉 This interview is a must-read for forward-thinking marketers: https://ads.amazon/4na86Uq

The pervasive pursuit of social media growth warrants a nuanced examination. Not every enterprise requires a robust social media presence to achieve success. Some industries or business models naturally generate less engaging content, presenting a hurdle for widespread follower acquisition. Consider a community-focused credit union. While social channels can disseminate updates and occasional informative posts, they may not represent the optimal marketing investment. Prioritizing alternative outreach channels that better align with their audience and operational reality is a strategic imperative. It is vital to acknowledge that social media marketing is not universally applicable. Businesses should identify and champion marketing strategies that genuinely leverage their unique strengths and resonate with their target demographics. Ultimately, while social media offers potential, a rigorous assessment of its fit for your specific organization is paramount. Concentrate efforts on marketing approaches that capitalize on your distinctive content and audience engagement. #DigitalMarketing #MarketingStrategy #BusinessGrowth #ContentStrategy #MarketingInsights #BusinessSuccess

Day 9/20 of #BuildinginPublic Today was all about going a little deeper. We continued exploring the world of ads — refining what we already know and learning how each small decision can truly shape the outcome of a campaign. It was interesting to see how every choice you make (from the objective to the audience) completely shapes the kind of results you get. We walked through different campaigns and ad objectives and how to choose the right one depending on what you want to achieve. We also revisited the core of audience targeting, understanding who you’re trying to reach, why they should care, and how to make sure your message gets to the right people. Some of the things we explored today included: • Setting up basic ad structures • Understanding demographics and behavior targeting • Choosing placements, duration, and budget • Running sample campaigns to compare how each objective performs But the highlight of the day was meeting with my team to discuss our capstone project. It felt good to share ideas, understand different perspectives, and start shaping something we’ll eventually build together. -Halima Isa Bala #day9 #DigitalSkill #DigitalMarketingNerdzpro #DigitalCampaign #DigitalMarketing #Nerdzfactory #GIZ #LSETF #GrowthMinndset #LearningJourney

Your audience is talking to you… but are you really listening? Every video you post on LinkedIn tells a story not just through the content, but through the data it leaves behind. Your video analytics reveal what captures attention, where viewers drop off, and what keeps them watching till the end. Here’s how you can listen smarter and turn analytics into your creative superpower: 1. Watch time tells the truth. If people drop off early, it’s not the algorithm it’s your hook. Tighten your intro, grab attention in the first 3 seconds, and earn every second after. 2. Discovery insights = your content compass. Do most views come from shares? That means your video resonated. Do they come from the feed? Then your opening visuals are working. Use that knowledge to double down on what performs. 3. Engagement drives evolution. Reactions show appreciation. Comments show connection. And follower growth? That’s proof people want more from you. 4. Audience demographics are your targeting goldmine. Knowing who is watching helps you create videos that speak directly to them by role, by industry, by region. In short your analytics aren’t numbers; they’re your audience whispering what they love. Listen closely. Create accordingly. #LinkedInVideo #ContentStrategy #VideoMarketing #CreatorTips #SocialMediaGrowth #DigitalStorytelling #LinkedInCreators #MarketingInsights #DataDrivenCreativity #PersonalBranding
