Thank you to Banque de France for hosting a most timely and relevant conference “T2, T1, T0: Go!” on rapid innovation, its impact on speed of transactions, and the role of tokenisation and distributed-ledger DLT platforms. It was a pleasure to discuss this and much more during a fascinating panel chaired by Denis Beau, First Deputy Governor of Banque de France, with Jean-Laurent Bonnafé Director General of BNP Paribas, piero cipollone Member of the Executive Board of the ECB, Gottfried Leibbrandt Chair of the Board at CLS Group, and Naoto Shimoda, Deputy Director General of Payment and Settlement Systems at the Bank of Japan. One thing is clear. The global cross-border payment landscape continues to deteriorate, with always fewer FX corridors and banks willing to facilitate cross-border trades. New solutions are needed. Can tokenisation help? And if so, how can we help embrace the novel features of a tokenised ecosystem (such as the ability of aligning many sequential steps into one single atomic settlement), while retaining the time-tested principles of today’s financial system (with the central role of banks and the need for a safe central bank settlement asset to ensure trust in money)? This is what the Bank for International Settlements – BIS is exploring, among other, in the context of its Project Agora, together with seven central banks and over fourty financial institutions. Keep tuned! #fmi #crossborder #payment #centralbanks #settlement #tokenization #fx #markets #dlt
Thank you very much for your great efforts.. We are waiting for your legislation to start, we are ready.. #Pinework #Picoin
