How I used Veo 3 to create a McDonald’s commercial — and why every brand needs to think like a filmmaker in 2025. Imagine this: you have a 30-second spot for McDonald’s. But instead of a full production crew, endless takes and expensive equipment — you’re seated at your laptop, writing a prompt for Veo 3. That’s not science fiction—it’s what I did. Here’s a breakdown of how I made the McDonald’s video using Veo 3, and why this matters for brands, agencies and storytellers alike. 🛠 Step 1: Define the scene like a filmmaker Prompt: “A golden-arched McDonald’s restaurant at sunset, close-up on a smiling customer taking the first bite of a burger. Smooth tracking shot from the burger to the customer’s delighted face. Ambient city noise fades into upbeat music. 4K HDR cinematic style.” By treating the prompt as a shot list + mood board, I leveraged Veo 3’s capability to generate not just imagery but motion, lighting and audio. Veo 3 supports full audio generation (ambient noise, music, dialogue) alongside visuals. 🌍 Step 2: Add brand-specific touchpoints Prompt Add-On: “Include McDonald’s golden arches in the background, warm colour palette, burger sizzling sound, narrator: ‘Taste the moment’. End frame: McDonald’s logo with tagline on screen.” This ensures the video isn’t just cinematic—it’s on-brand. And in today’s landscape brands need to think less about “we’ll shoot a video” and more about “we’ll generate a scene.” With Veo 3 you can scale storytelling far faster. 📊 Step 3: Control the output & iterate fast Prompt Variation: “Alternate version: aerial drone shot of drive-thru at dusk, warm golden light, fast-paced edit, burger box opens, soda fizz sound, music - energetic pop, cut to family laughing.” Because I structured it in the prompt, Veo 3 understood shot types (“aerial drone shot”), times of day (“dusk”), pacing (“fast-paced edit”), audio cues (“soda fizz sound”), and brand moment (“burger box opens”). That level of detail is what separates “just an AI video” from “a commercial-grade asset.” 🎯 If you’re a brand, agency or creative lead… And you’re interested in: High-impact video concepts at lower costs Fast turnarounds for digital platforms Story-driven visuals aligned with your brand identity Then let’s talk. I’ve done the “deep dive” on tools like Veo 3, and I’m ready to help you bring your next video campaign into the AI-first era. 👇 What’s the one brand you wish you could “generate a commercial for” tomorrow? Drop it in the comments and I’ll share how we could approach it with AI. #AIvideoproduction #Veo3 #CreativeStrategy #BrandStorytelling #VideoMarketing #AIFilmmaking #DigitalAdvertising #BrandVideo #InnovationInDesign

🎬 Why Strong Pre-Production Shapes Every Successful Project Every great film, animation, or campaign starts long before the first frame is shot — it begins in pre-production. This is where ideas become blueprints, chaos becomes structure, and creativity finds its direction. Yet, it’s also the phase most teams tend to underestimate. 🧠 Why Pre-Production Matters ✅ Clarity Saves Time & Cost A detailed plan minimizes reshoots, reworks, and confusion — turning uncertainty into efficiency. ✅ Creative Alignment Storyboards, scripts, mood boards, and references ensure everyone shares the same creative vision — from the director to the designer. ✅ Technical Readiness Camera setups, lighting plans, shot lists, and resource allocation ensure the production runs like clockwork. ✅ Predicting Challenges Early Strong pre-production helps you identify gaps, budget constraints, or creative bottlenecks before they derail the process. 💡 In Short A strong pre-production is not about slowing down — it’s about setting the pace. When the groundwork is solid, creativity flows without limits. At Originative Nest, we believe great storytelling begins with great planning. Because the best visuals are born from well-prepared visions. 🎥 Think. Plan. Create. Pre-production isn’t just a step — it’s the foundation of everything that follows. How much attention does your team give to pre-production before starting a project? 👇 Let’s discuss — what’s one thing you always do before production day? www.originativenest.com #PreProduction #CreativeProcess #Storyboarding #MediaProduction #Filmmaking #Animation #OriginativeNest #VisualStorytelling #ContentCreation #ProductionPlanning #CreativeStrategy #3DAnimation #DigitalMedia #BehindTheScenes

📽️Video Editing is NOT Just About Heavy Animations! A lot of editors today focus so much on adding fancy transitions, VFX, and heavy animations — that they forget the core purpose of the video: 👉 To connect with the audience 👉 To clearly deliver the client’s message 👉 To tell a story that actually drives results No matter how cinematic your edit looks, if the message is lost — the video fails its purpose. 💡 A great editor doesn’t just edit clips… they understand the goal behind every second of footage. #VideoEditing #Storytelling #ContentMarketing #CreativeStrategy #MotionDesign #VideoProduction #Filmmaking #BrandVideo #VisualCommunication #EditingTips #ClientCommunication #MarketingStrategy

This version gives users more control over sound, visuals, and editing, making it easier than ever to create high-quality, cinematic videos from text or images. With over 275 million videos already made in Flow, Veo 3.1 is a major leap that adds sound to scenes, longer shots, and the ability to insert or remove objects—all with better realism and control. It's a powerful step forward in AI-assisted creativity. Veo 3.1 is an upgraded video generation model from Google DeepMind, made for people using Flow, their AI filmmaking platform. This update helps users add rich audio to their scenes, improve how the final video looks and sounds, and gives better control over every part of the creative process. Now, creators can use multiple images to guide the look of a scene, stitch together a full video from a start and end frame, or extend a video beyond one minute using AI. They can also add new elements—like animals or special effects—or remove unwanted objects from scenes. Flow also supports easier editing inside the app, so users don't need to start from scratch. All of these features work together to make storytelling more lifelike, seamless, and professional. Veo 3.1 is available not only in Flow, but also through Gemini APIs and Google's Vertex AI platform, giving developers and companies access too. --- KEY POINTS - Veo 3.1 adds realistic audio generation across all major features in Flow. - Creators now have more narrative control, with stronger prompt-to-video accuracy. - The "Ingredients to Video" tool lets users guide scenes using multiple images. - The "Frames to Video" tool builds smooth transitions between two images. - "Extend" allows users to create long, seamless shots that continue a story. - New editing tools let users add or remove objects from any part of the video. - Visual changes like lighting, shadows, and background blending now look more natural. - All new features are available in Flow, as well as Gemini API 2 and Vertex AI 3 for developers and enterprise users. - Over 275 million videos have already been made using Flow, showing strong adoption. - These updates help bring cinematic, AI-generated storytelling to a wider audience. Once upon a time, every filmmaker dreamed in widescreen. The 16:9 aspect ratio defined storytelling — cinemas, TVs, and even YouTube all revolved around the horizontal frame. Directors composed every shot with a left-to-right narrative flow, and audiences were trained to “look across.” But the screen has turned — literally. With the rise of smartphones, social media, and short-form content, we’re now witnessing one of the biggest visual shifts in modern storytelling: the move from horizontal to vertical framing. Platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts have redefined how we consume video. We no longer rotate our phones — the frame now fits our hand, our habits, and our attention spans. It’s intimate, immediate, and personal. The vertical format places the subject at the center, not in the landscape, but in your palm. This isn’t just a trend — it’s a transformation. Filmmakers, advertisers, and content creators are rewriting the rules of composition. Directors once obsessed over symmetry and depth; now they design for reach, relatability, and retention. 🎬 So what does the future look like? The next phase of cinematics may not be about choosing between horizontal or vertical — but mastering both. Imagine adaptive storytelling where the same film dynamically shifts its framing based on your device. AI-assisted editing tools already allow automatic reframing, ensuring no emotion or moment is lost regardless of screen orientation. Even Hollywood has started experimenting — trailers, teasers, and behind-the-scenes clips are now shot in vertical to connect directly with mobile audiences. The “cinematic look” is evolving — not losing quality, but finding new ways to stay close to the viewer. As screens get smaller but audiences grow wider, one thing is clear: cinema is no longer confined to the theater. The frame has followed us into our pockets, our feeds, and our daily scrolls. The question isn’t whether vertical storytelling will replace traditional cinema — it’s how creators will merge both worlds to craft the future of visual experience. #Cinematography #VideoProduction #VerticalVideo #DigitalStorytelling #FilmTrends #ContentCreation #dubaiphotographer #abudhabiphotographer #aicinema

🎬 What I love about this kind of content: It’s not just animation. It’s not just a screen recording. It’s a mix of both — bringing human connection and high production value together. With Cinema8, that’s exactly what I wanted to show: As a motion designer, you can go beyond visuals — you can make your videos interactive, collect leads, and track performance. No code, no plugins, no hassle. 💡 The structure I used: Hook: Why your videos shouldn’t just end. Solution: Turn them into a lead-generating tool. How it works: A simple drag-and-drop form. Insight: See all your data in one dashboard. CTA: “Try Cinema8 today.” One use case. One clear story. That’s why it works. Because at the end of the day — ✨ Simplicity always beats complexity. And Cinema8 gives motion designers the power to make videos that don’t just play — they perform.
