It's true. 💯 I've noticed that many developers tend to directly copy and paste errors into ChatGPT without understanding the underlying issue. The difference between a developer and a good developer lies in their approach to problem-solving. Debugging issues not only helps write cleaner and more efficient code but also enhances skills in the long run. By investing time in understanding and resolving errors, developers can improve their coding proficiency and problem-solving abilities, ultimately becoming faster and more effective at their work 🚀

People want to struggle but management say 'do it by tomorrow' ... le chatgpt

Manager: complete it by EOD. This pressure makes the developer choose shortcut. Chatgpt, copy paste.

I've always advised my team that if they lack sufficient coding experience, they should disable any code auto-completion tools they might be using. These tools don't help you grow; instead, they hinder your learning process. "The brain needs its workout!"

Let the brain struggle. That's where development starts. Think. Struggle. Find solution. Improve. Repeat. Akshay Saini 🚀

Understanding the nuances of debugging is crucial in software development; it's like solving a puzzle by tracing steps backward until you find the root cause.

i think using llm to understand the deep cause of the bugs is alright and just your own solution since most often its quite better then chatgpt

sometimes, just asking cursor to fix works for small errors. But you must use your brain when you accept the fix.
