20 years after I had my first experience with laptop, ChatGPT came out, and I don't think that's coincidental, at least for me. This has been a transformative technology for me, for what I've been able to do for my business, and for many of the organizations with which I partner with what I find interesting. Is that three years into this, many are still left wondering, what does this mean for me? Maybe I'm using it right emails. Maybe I'm using it to analyze some basic data. I'm using it to look up information. Maybe it's doing some strategy work. I know I can go buy some applications that have AI as part of it, but I'm still struggling to figure out what this really means. Any transformative technology like generative AI follows very closely the Gartner Hype Cycle. This is where there's an event that occurs where a new technology is introduced. This is usually followed by a significant amount of venture capital funding. The marketing machine runs wild and it says how great this technology is going to be, it's going to change anything. It gets into the hands of the end users and we fall into that through of disillusionment. What I find is that there is a plateau of productivity and those who are closest to AI, those who are the ones building it, those who are the ones who are really implementing it within their business. They don't see a plateau of productivity. They see this new age where intelligence is essentially unmetered, where you can have access to the smartest minds that have ever existed. It is indefatigable. It doesn't get tired. It can integrate into your business. It's going to change a lot of things.

AI makes everything, but this vid, I made this. What will still matter when everything can be made? The answer isn’t found in scale or speed. It’s in belonging. The next creative wave won’t come from those who master the tools, but from those who anchor them in community. That’s where meaning lives, in the relationships, rituals, and shared effort that no machine can replicate. When everything is made by AI, what matters most will still be made by people.
