Most organisations don’t break SharePoint. They slowly lose trust in it. -Documents multiply. -Structure drifts. -People stop knowing where the “right” place is. And before long, SharePoint exists — but it isn’t delivering value. That’s exactly why we created the Adepteq SharePoint Crash Course. Not as training for features. Not as a sales webinar. But as a practical reset for organisations that know SharePoint should be doing more — especially in hybrid, Microsoft 365–driven workplaces. In our latest blog, we explore: -Why SharePoint usually fails quietly (not catastrophically) -The real business cost of poor structure and adoption -How SharePoint underpins Teams, intranets, knowledge, and collaboration -Why clarity — not more tools, is the missing piece If SharePoint supports how your organisation communicates, collaborates, or manages knowledge, this perspective matters. 🔗 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/erGWWMM6 👉🏻Secure Your Spot for the Course: https://lnkd.in/ehTbAC5z #SharePoint #DigitalWorkplace #Microsoft365 #HybridWork #Intranet #KnowledgeManagement #ThoughtLeadership

Why many companies in Nigeria are missing the real value of SharePoint From what I’ve seen, a lot of organisations invest in SharePoint with good intentions… and then stop halfway. For many teams, SharePoint becomes nothing more than: • a place to dump files • a replacement for a shared drive • something IT “set up” that nobody really uses And that’s where the problem starts. SharePoint isn’t meant to be passive, when it’s done right, it should sit at the centre of how teams work -documents, collaboration, approvals, internal communication, and even simple workflows. So why isn’t that happening? In many cases: There’s no clear structure or ownership, users aren’t properly trained, so they avoid it, it’s treated as an IT project instead of a business tool or no one connects it to day-to-day work or real pain points The result? People go back to email attachments, WhatsApp files, and multiple versions of the same document. The irony is that most companies are already paying for SharePoint through Microsoft 365, but not getting the value. The technology isn’t the issue. Adoption, structure, and strategy are. If this sounds familiar and you’d like to get more value from what you already have, you can reach out to us at Reliance Infosystems. We help organisations design, implement, and adopt SharePoint in a way that actually works for their teams. Just something to think about this week.

𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 '𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀' 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗹𝘆, 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺? Microsoft has announced that starting in March 2026, the Featured Links section on the SharePoint Start Page will be retired. By June, they will be gone entirely. Why? Because of low adoption. Most organizations have realized that managing links in three or four different places (Intranet, Teams, Viva, and the Start Page) is a governance nightmare. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱? Since these links are going away, Microsoft recommends moving to more 'modern' navigation hubs: 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The SharePoint App Bar (the left-hand rail) is the best place for links that need to be visible everywhere in SharePoint. 𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀: If your users live in Teams, use the 'Resources' tab in Viva Connections. This is where most people actually look for company links now. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁: A well-designed Home Site is still the 'source of truth' for 90% of employees. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼: 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁: Check if you currently have 'Featured Links' set up in the SharePoint Admin Center. 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲: Move those URLs to your Global Navigation or Viva Connections Dashboard. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲: Let your helpdesk know that the 'Start Page' (the page you see when you click the SharePoint icon in the app launcher) is getting a bit cleaner. 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲: This is a good move. We need less 'clutter' in M365, not more. Reducing the number of places where admins have to 'copy-paste' the same links is a win for efficiency. 𝗜’𝗺 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀: Does your organization actually promote the SharePoint Start Page, or do your users go straight to a custom Intranet or Teams? #SharePoint #VivaConnections #M365Adoption #MVP

“I can’t find anything in SharePoint.” A phrase I hear regularly when talking to new clients - and almost every time, SharePoint isn’t the problem. The real issue is how information is structured. In our latest Myth Busting blog, we’ve taken Myth #2 and flipped it on its head, showing real-world use cases across departments like Finance, HR, Ops, Marketing, and Sales — and how quickly things change when SharePoint is set up properly. When teams stop relying on endless folders and start using metadata, filters, and intelligent search: Documents are found in seconds Confidence in information improves Productivity goes up Frustration disappears If your teams are still emailing colleagues to ask “Where’s that file?”, this one’s worth a read. 🔗Read the full Myth #2 use-case blog here: https://lnkd.in/e85zF6Rc 👉🏻Secure Your Spot for our Free SharePoint Course: https://lnkd.in/eHa7tPv9 I’d be interested to know — what’s the biggest challenge your teams face when trying to find information today? #SharePoint #Microsoft365 #Leadership #DigitalWorkplace #InformationManagement #Adepteq

📌 What is SharePoint? Think of SharePoint as a central hub for teamwork—a place where teams can work on files, manage content, and communicate more efficiently. ⭐ Key features 📂 Document Management – Store files, control versions, and co-edit in real time 👥 Team & Communication Sites – Create intranet pages and team workspaces 🔐 Security & Permissions – Control who can view or edit content 🔄 Workflow Automation – Automate approvals and business processes (often with Power Automate) 🔗 Microsoft 365 Integration – Works seamlessly with Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc. 🏢 Common uses Company intranets Project collaboration Knowledge bases & policies File sharing instead of email attachments ☁️ Versions SharePoint Online – Cloud-based (part of Microsoft 365) SharePoint Server – On-premises (installed on company servers) #SharePoint #DocumentManagement #FileSharing #VersionControl #TeamCollaboration #DataSecurity #Workflows #SharePointOnline #mahede3450

Most teams use SharePoint as a place where files go to be forgotten. But if you treat it like an engine instead of a storage unit, you can stop the endless "Where is that PDF?" Slack threads for good. Here are a couple of features hiding in SharePoint that will actually skyrocket your team’s efficiency: The Time Machine - SharePoint automatically tracks every single change made by anyone. You can view, compare, or restore any previous version with two clicks. The Efficiency: No more cluttered folders and zero panic when someone accidentally deletes three pages of a proposal. One file, infinite history. Automated Approvals - You can set up a "Request Sign-off" flow directly within a folder. The Efficiency: When you drop a file in, your boss gets a notification on their phone or Teams. They hit "Approve," and SharePoint automatically tags the file as "Approved" and notifies the team. No emails, no chasing, no bottlenecks. 🚫 Stop buying extra software to solve problems your Microsoft license already fixed. Pop Box doesn’t just hand you a login and wish you luck. We help you architect a system that actually works, so you stop paying for tools you don't use and start seeing the ROI on the ones you do.

SharePoint, powerful as it is, has no inherent 'shape' or structure. Microsoft gives no clear guidance or support on how to shape the SharePoint landscape beyond technical considerations. To address this, we've released a new "Universal model for SharePoint" for use by digital workplace teams when designing, structuring and governing SharePoint Online: https://lnkd.in/gqJhSr2D #SharePoint #M365 #DigitalWorkplace #intranet
